We do not need prophets as we have enough of those. Oldsam_newsan is correct. And may I add that it is a windup. The Chairman is elected by the clubs and his position is in no doubt irrespective of what is posted here or anywhere else and no football manager will have any say on that issue thankfully.

Replying To oldsam_newsam:  "Certainly a more competitive championship is needed, not sure if full knockout is he way to go. Perhaps with a beefed up league in which teams took the games seriously.

Turkeys don't vote for Christmas so the bit about the resignations are an illogical addition to the demands and make the demands as a whole farcical imho."
Yeah reading it after a bit of time,I think Brownepat is taking the mickey!

I do think that the co.board need to listen to football people.Seems to be a stubborness for them to do that..

If McEntee wants a more competitive championship he'll have a hard time trying to convince the clubs. As we saw earlier this year with the restructuring plans a lot of clubs are perfectly happy doing the minimum, winning one game a year and staying in their grade.

It's also not a great start if your first demand for a job is for your potential boss and other executives to be immediately fired since you have personal disagreements with them.

I'd take those "demands" with a pinch of salt to be honest.

I think the demands for chair and treasure to go are what the fans would want to. Also a proper fitness and strength / conditioning coach is a top priority, and if no other candidate is asking for the same then they should not be considered for the position, end of story

Names were nominated friday...interviews for demands have not been done yet :)

Yeah I think brownpat has taken a few of us in,
However I do hope that a top of the scale strength /fitness coach is part of any managers plans, and money cannot come into it, this should be main priority. Btw all nominees were to be interested, can you see pete McGrath say he was intended? Knowing Andy was certain to get I if he wanted it, how would that look in Fermanagh,
So fair play pat, u got me which not many people do these days.

It is not the 'fans' who decide. Most of the so called fans, the guys who go to matches and shout abuse, the guys who do not support their own clubs (that if they have one) matter little and rightfully should have no say.

A bit hard to believe he would ask people to resign but whatever else he wants I would give him, the championship needs to be changed but the smaller clubs don't like the idea. they have to realise it is for the good of football in the county. Surely additional sponsors will donate money this year if a quality manager is in charge and they're told what the money is being used for.

I think a bit of cop on is in order also.

Fitness, strength & conditioning of course. Changes to championship structure could be discussed & looked into. But asking for the chairman and treasurer to be sacked you are having a laugh - do you honestly think its a runner? And if it's not a runner why are we discussing it?

Replying To Brownepat:  "Word is Andy MC has mad demands wants county chairman and treasurer to step down as they shafted him before wants total changes to championships knock out and starting when Meath bet also some high cost trainer with strength and conditioning man also with bigger fees than Banty had .. So looks like that won't work and maybe his get out clause
Pete McGrath nominated by a north Meath club with down connections ... Moyles not nominated just Barry Callaghan and Sean Barry along with McGrath and McEntee
McGrath looks favourite now"
From speaking to those close to thin this is certainly not true.
But well done for setting rumour mill into over drive.
Good job!

The concern for me regardless of rumour or not,is that the county board give it to a 'yes' man or the manager who would offer the least hassle.

In this case Sean Barry would be that man.

Yeah the last thing we need is another yes man,
This CB has proved themselves to be more incompetent than previous one, and that took some doing.

Bert , Spin Doctors at work already trying to discredit the McEntee nominations .
I note that Brownepatty even has the nominations numbers released to him today ...,.
Either he has a DIRECT line or he is a spin master for CERTAIN parties .

If Andy doesn't get the job I think there will be a lot of people upset, to put it mildly. So anyone else to come in would be under serious pressure straight away if things aren't going well. I am not sure many would come in under such pressure.

The Co.Board will be under serious scrutiny if it doesn't happen..

Maybe the Chronicle will have the details. After all, it was obvious that they avoided rocking the boat during MOD's time and got various interviews etc.

So the details on nominees in the Chronicle that's out tonight? If not what's the point in them toeing the line with the county board?
