Agree 100%, crazy decision at the time and that has been proven this year.

Why? Maybe I am naive but Andy must be at least a warm favorite. The Co. Board must act quickly to get the new manager in place. oldsam_newsam (Meath) - Posts: 638 - 11/07/2016 16:13:40 1881072 Link 0 |
The same crowd that have seen what he's done there, what's your point? Who do you want as I have no idea what your angle is?

The reappointment of MOD last year and the big drop in sponsorship funds (if that has come to pass) are two major blunders the CB should be held to account over. Complacency and incompetence. GlasagusOr (Meath) - Posts: 1348 - 11/07/2016 16:38:56 1881096 Link 0 |
Manager should be appointed immediately with little delay. bert09 (Meath) - Posts: 1790 - 11/07/2016 16:40:02 1881097 Link 1 |

Totally agree, but the people to blame are every clubs delegate who voted MOD back in and didn't look for change.

Well lads after a long (yet short) season it's back to the drawing board. Very disappointing way to end the season but I'm sure there's enough talent for future success. MO'D deserves credit and I hope that in future we realise that. Having said that, change is needed, along with a step back to look at how Meath football can move forward. Andy mac for me. Gerry could get involved too and he worked with Moyles before so he could be brought in aswell. But regardless of who the new manager is, some of these players face an uncertain few months MarkMyWords (Meath) - Posts: 498 - 11/07/2016 18:15:07 1881192 Link 0 |
Been to Thailand. Great spot. Lady boys go nuts for the Meath Jersey and a tight pair of togs You'll love it bert09 (Meath) - Posts: 1790 - 11/07/2016 18:38:18 1881212 Link 1 |
Look for me Andy, Sean and GG would be the dream ticket, but I wouldn't hoist anyone on Andy, if je was comfortable with that, then hallelujah.

The biggest problem is the stooges clubs are sending to the county board as delegates, these are often sent out of the club to get them out of the way. However if Andy Mc is nominated he should accept it. As a Meath man there is no greater honour than representing your county be it as a player, or a manager. If he were to take it and certain people were making things difficult then he could go public on it. Personally I can't understand why anyone would want to hinder the teams progress as it serves no purpose in the end. Just on a side point centres of excellence do not produce sensational footballers rather they produce athletes with some football skills. players like Giles Fay GG were exceptional footballers something you cannot train. atta (Meath) - Posts: 698 - 11/07/2016 19:20:08 1881247 Link 0 |
See Cian Ward is the latest to give nod to Andy McEntee, of the current panel I would only see Keoghan, Tobin, Harnan, O Sullivan and McEntee (expect him to make the grade) as safe, the rest have a lot to prove to whoever gets job. seadog54 (Meath) - Posts: 2142 - 11/07/2016 19:46:46 1881273 Link 3 |
Seems to be the spine of the team.. Lads will have to step up to the mark... I wouldn't say there's a great deal of players from the club scene that should be nailed on starters. But as first 15s are concerned I'd be nervous for the some players. Royalio11 (Meath) - Posts: 757 - 11/07/2016 20:10:48 1881298 Link 0 |
Fair point,I think many of them would have to sink or swim..

Do we expect McEntee to be nominated? ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 11/07/2016 20:16:44 1881311 Link 3 |
I'd like to see Andy Mcentee, Shane Horgan, and Moylsie take up the reigns bert09 (Meath) - Posts: 1790 - 11/07/2016 20:17:40 1881316 Link 1 |
Graham Reilly is also nailed on to remain.

Thanks Bert I've told the wife I've a conference to attend so I'm arriving to Bangkok 2 days earlier than her! That kind of crafty planning would've been enough to beat the Dubs ;) JohnJoeRoyal (Meath) - Posts: 56 - 11/07/2016 20:19:43 1881321 Link 0 |
Did Cian mention it on the radio or some paper?
