Replying To Analyst:  "Maybe some of the posters on here should take the job, seem to have all the answers. If Andy mc does get the job there will be a thread on here next summer criticising him also. Results don't lie. We are a bottom half Div 2 team who are at best 8 to 10 points off Dublin and thats on a good day. Over time that will change but not in next 2/3 years"
do you honestly think them lads are playing to their potential. we have some great players but no hunger, no confidence & no proper system. Fermanagh today ran mayo close & longford beat monaghan because they fought & fought and never gave up. THATS what i want to see from meath. as a previous poster said, rather lose fighting than the muck we've witnessed over the last few years

Replying To Htaem:  "Ok well maybe outraged is not the word, maybe surprised is the word, we're all very disappointed but we could hardly claim to be surprised by our second half collapse today, it's basically a trademark of Meath under O'Dowd."
Sometimes when you hear a substitution announcement you know we are in trouble today for me it was Dalton Mc donogh for Mickey Newman. Why ? Why would you take off your free taker when clearly it was going to down to the wire ? I dont think Mickey was injured. Anyway writing was on the wall. Anyway... I have no energy to me angry anymore.

Ye to be honest it's very deflating to hear certain substitutions being announced, when certain lads come on you just know the game is up.

Can't see too many looking for the job but whoever does take or get it need to come up with a 4 year plan with a return to division one a priority. There is better footballers in the county than what was taking to the field this year.

We are miles behind Dublin so leinster glory is miles away and it will take time to get back into the top 10 teams in the country but i believe there is enough talent in the county to achieve this.Playing in division 1 will be huge advantage in the restructure of the team.As a supporter all i want is to see a bit of the old meath that we used to have down through the years. There has been far too many embarrassments the last 3 years and to be honest i don't think meath football can go any lower. There is no confidence or self belief in that team the last 2 years and i'm afraid that stemmed down from the very top.Players been giving a cheese sandwich after coming from work and train for 2 hours would not make you feel too confident or important.

BIG BIG changes needed and needed fast.

God, Andy McEntee better want the job, because some people here will be very disappointed if he doesn't get it, or even worse accept it, if offered!

Anyhow, I would like to thank MOD (and his back room teams) for the efforts and commitments over the last 4 years. The results may not have been anything to get excited by. In fact, the opposite maybe more the truth. That said, the sacrifices and time put into managing a team at any level, never mind intercounty is serious. And for that alone I wish him the best in the future.

Onwards and upwards. It's the only way to go now!
