Cian Ward talking about the Meath Dublin game. bobkarlgees (Meath) - Posts: 1263 - 20/06/2016 09:51:40 1869343 Link 1 |
That depends. If we get annihilated by Dublin it would be very demoralising. To go to Derry especially after a 6 day turnaround from that kind of beating would be very tough mentally. Derry are a poor side though who were pretty dreadful against Tyrone. We're capable of going up there and beating them. Depends on the circumstances though. 11 weeks from the end of the league until the Louth game. Now less than a week to prepare for a tough away game (whichever team loses). Surely there has to be better ways of running the championships. First thing to be done needs to be a central fixtures committee covering all county games. Allowing individual provincial councils to decide their own fixtures (to their own advantage) is farcical. trim1 (Meath) - Posts: 162 - 20/06/2016 10:18:03 1869369 Link 0 |
Got the worst possible draw. In another world it could of been Leitrim or Carlow at home. RoyalBadger (Meath) - Posts: 571 - 20/06/2016 10:57:05 1869418 Link 0 |

Jarlath Burns had little sympathy for Louth's 6 day turnaround last night. He claimed the county boards of Meath and Louth would have agreed the fixture date so that they could fix club games around that. He never sees much wrong with GAA decisions but he saw it as a small victory for the club player. Did I miss a full round of club fixtures the week before the Meath-Louth clash? This draw was on TV believe it or not.. I watched it on morning Ireland on the rte news channel. No evidence of fixing was apparent. Although I do think I saw Sepp Blatter hanging around in the back looking shifty.

Season ticket assigned to block 307 in the Cusack. Normally we're in 305/306 so I'm a bit annoyed with that. Where have others been seated? MarkMyWords (Meath) - Posts: 498 - 20/06/2016 14:00:38 1869627 Link 0 |
His input in general was poor, don't know where he got info from, got impression Dessie Dolan was far from agreeing with his views

MarkMyWords- It's a very good seat on 50m from goals approx. The letters go back from A at front alongside sideline and when it comes to Z, the lettering starts again at AA and so on. You are about 60% of width of stand back from front row and just about in the dry if it is raining (depends though on wind direction)-the best of luck browncows (Meath) - Posts: 2342 - 20/06/2016 14:42:36 1869685 Link 1 |
I know the seat is still very good. It's just I've had the ST for the past few years and I've always been in 305/306 which is the very centre. These seats in 307 are to the left of the aisle aswell which is even further from the middle. Tickets similar to these could've just been bought on general sale which annoys me a bit. Yes in the hope that a real Meath effort will be on view from the throw in. Anything less, and this poster will finally abandon ship, until a real Meath team emerges again. That's not just dry day supporting, but a refusal to accept mediocrity in terms of preparation and performance. As a long standing supporter who has always been proud of Meath and its fighting spirit i will concentrate on supporting our hurlers. I am not into blind loyalty anyway.Somehow, i do believe that on Sunday we might just be saying " that is more like it lads keep up the good work" There i am HOPING again! p.s. "real meath" a team who play for one another with conviction and pride.who will never give in till the game is over. a team who believe the bigger the challenge the more we relish it.
