Replying To Foley91:  "The very best of luck to the lads tomorrow. Its probably just an annoyance and extra expense for the county board but what a great achievement it is for the meath hurlers to play in croke park.

lets hope they can push on now and start competing at a higher level.
Lets face it a half decent game of hurling is miles ahead of a gaelic football match."
Couldn't agree more, as a sporting spectacle nothing beats a tight game of Hurling for excitement, it's got everything, athleticism, speed, skill and just the right amount of physical violence, I have the utmost respect and admiration for anybody who plays it.
Tomorrow will be David and Goliath but the lads this year have shown us they're up for the challenge and they certainly have the fitness and the stamina to see them over the line.
It's going to be a fantastic day for true Meath Hurling fans, best of luck to the players and management team, An Mhi Abu.

Best of luck to the lads tomorrow. Hopefully a great turnout and support for the Royals. If we hurl with the same hunger and intensity as the last day we'll win. Antrim are a watery shower who won't play for each other.

Antrim will be very physical like Down were against us in the league, they didn't seem to care how many yellows they picked up so long as they stopped the man at all costs, Toher in particular was targeted for a lot of rough stuff. We seemed to be unsettled by the physicality of the game and ended up missing a lot of frees which cost us dearly in the end. We need to stand up to them today and don't let them bully us off the ball and play our own game. I really think the fitness and stamina of the current squad will be enough to see them through the seventy minutes. The last game of the season and we have the full squad with little or no injury worries, shows the fantastic work by the coaching and conditioning staff in training and managing the players this season.
Hon the Royal.

Good luck to Meath today. Big ask to beat Antrim but I think Meath could just do it.

What an amazing achievement. The fight, the character, the heart, they were beaten about 5 times in this game, but the players didn't give up.Its exactly what the footballers are missing

Footballers take note. Amazing win. Quite some time we have seen a headline such as - "Meath come back from the dead for sensational win".

Well done all!

Ye may burst the footballs now instead of burning the hurls. Total lack of respect for meath hurling for years by people within the royal county. The meath hurlers redeemed themselves this evening. I expect meath to have a stronger team also next year for the leinster championship and wont be relegated without a fight

To be fair,if the footballers showed the same desire, heart, hunger, drive, teamwork and willingness not to give up,they could give the Dubs a game.

what a great performance from the hurlers today, showed the never say die attitude sadly lacking in Meath GAA in recent times is alive and well again
