The Junior A championship should be renamed the reserve senior championship . 5 senior teams in the last 9 . meathfan2 (Meath) - Posts: 7 - 15/08/2016 09:08:08 1901105 Link 0 |

The second teams have done well but a second team won't win it.

Are people happy to have second teams allowed to compete in the first team championships? Surely it isn't fair on the small rural clubs ? 11jm11 (Kildare) - Posts: 366 - 15/08/2016 10:28:30 1901144 Link 0 |
The 5 senior teams now have 2 rounds of the senior championship to play before they play in the junior A quarter-finals meathfan2 (Meath) - Posts: 7 - 15/08/2016 10:57:31 1901160 Link 0 |
Senior B Teams ruin the Junior championship. Simonstown fielded a completely different 15 players in their last 2 games and were hammered in both, yet because of a earlier win against Clonard they stay up. Royal (Meath) - Posts: 20 - 15/08/2016 12:12:52 1901209 Link 1 |
The argument for a seperate championship for senior clubs second teams appear to be getting stronger as no doubt its unfair on teams that have played their first round against strong teams and now are giving walk overs or getting hammered. To promote second team football especially for smaller clubs this needs to be looked at.OMahonys a typical example giving our second team a walk over the weekend &now for the first time ever we find ourselves in a quather final of junior b championship. Monalvey to win it this year i guess. cilles man (Meath) - Posts: 142 - 15/08/2016 13:02:12 1901233 Link 0 |
