Junior Predictions

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

thats a ridicoulous statement saying junior teams probably train equally has hard as some senior clubs if not harder. last year for example last year o'mahonys and summerhill both got to 1\4 finals with strong teams but the bulk of their best players were taken by there senior teams and were well bet in the 1\4 finals hardly fair on the other teams in it but it will never change because the senior clubs wont allow it

No need to read between the lines at all, bigger (senior) clubs have a core of players who actually want to play actually want to train,, smaller ( junior) clubs have to persist with lads who go through the motions and as the game and fitness levels advance we are seeing this gap appear,, and all a lot of yas want to do is keep the standard down,, wot about the lads in these senior clubs that don't make the first team,, do they not deserve to go out and try to win a junior championship after all these clubs have used a minimum of 15 players before anybody plays them so if yas can't beat them suck it up, work harder but most of all stop complaining

Analyst- You are away of the mark. Any of the top couple of senior clubs second team would win the junior championship if left in place. Srgt_Slaughter - there are more junior clubs than senior clubs and all clubs are equal when it comes to a vote. I do have sympathy for the major point you are making and would suggest that perhaps it would make more sense to group all the second teams in same group for the group stages of the competition. I would also suggest that the junior clubs should canvass other clubs when trying to get changes made- like being allowed to group for the senior championship. There are folk posting to this board and reading some of their comments one would be led to believe that the senior is a lower grade competition and complain about how low the standard is (obviously guys who never played in the senior grade).

This is for Junior A and B from round 2 on so predict for both

Teach na Teamhradh JFC
Simonstown v Clonard 6.00pm JFC Group B Skryne Declan Browne
Simonstown were poor in Round 1 Clonard did well to draw. I think Simonstown may have a few back and will win
Drumconrath v Kilmainhamwood 7.00pm JFC Group A Meath Hill Jack Gordon
Drums really put in up to Hill but Stephan Crosby is a big loss. Kwood are improving but Drums should have enough

Seamus Connolly JFC B
Donaghmore/Ashbourne v St.Peters Dunboyne 7.45pm JBFC Group B Ratoath Barry Campbell
Two 3rd teams maybe Dunboyne
Gaeil Colmcille v Kilbride 5.30pm JBFC Group B Seneschalstown Joe Synnott
Kilbride got a hammering from Pats Kells beat Pauls last time out Kilbride might be better than people think so I give them the nod
Nobber v O'Mahonys 7.00pm JBFC Group B Kilberry Seamus O'Connor
Nobber tested Slane for a while OMahonys are not great at this level Nobber for me
Dunderry v St.Pauls JBFC Group B Bective Martin Ennis
Pauls will find it hard to win a game this year and they will be still looking for one after this weekend
St.Vincents v St. Marys 7.00pm JBFC Group A Slane Peter Downey
Marys disappointed last time out Vincents got a walkover. That was no good to them and will make this game slighty tighter but Vincents will win

Teach na Teamhradh JFC
O'Mahonys v Clann Na nGael 1.00pm JFC Group C Trim Paddy Melia POSTPONED

Seamus Connolly JFC B
Trim v Walterstown 5.00pm JBFC Group A Kilmainham Tom Lorton
