Richie most sene I have read in a long while all your points are right EOB was chucked out because the clubs in 2010 had no say in the Leinster final mess and clubs decided to make a statement. Brownepat (Meath) - Posts: 532 - 14/03/2016 20:12:56 1834882 Link 0 |
Question is,will the clubs make more noise at the end of this season? ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 14/03/2016 20:46:43 1834904 Link 5 |
MOD's remaining management tenure is akin to Enda Kenny's, the only pity for us is that it's going to be longer and more painful viewing for the Meath fans before his tenure reaches it's inevitable sorry conclusion. I for one have stopped torturing myself by watching, those Cavan and Galway games were the nail in the coffin for me. AthboyCelt (Meath) - Posts: 147 - 15/03/2016 13:24:12 1835088 Link 0 |
Very unfair on Enda Kenny there, whether you agree with the cuts or not (and I didnt agree with many of them) but you have to agree that EK met most of his objectives and our overall economic performance has been turned around. How that effects the lad in the street is another matter. On the other hand, which if any of MOD's objectives have been met? oldsam_newsam (Meath) - Posts: 638 - 15/03/2016 14:53:28 1835126 Link 0 |
oldsam_newsam quote: 'you have to agree that EK met most of his objectives'- the main one being funding the German and French bondholders and robbing the taxpayers of this country in the process- any fool could negotiate that deal! browncows (Meath) - Posts: 2342 - 15/03/2016 20:06:26 1835252 Link 11 |
As I said I didnt agree with most of the cuts and I don't know the legalities of the situation with the bondholders but to compare MOD's tenure with a Taoiseach that lead us out of recession is pretty ridiculous. oldsam_newsam (Meath) - Posts: 638 - 15/03/2016 20:24:00 1835257 Link 0 |
oldsam_newsam - I'm not a great lover of most of our politicians. Back to football- I think people should always support their team on bad days as well as good days. browncows (Meath) - Posts: 2342 - 15/03/2016 21:18:48 1835269 Link 10 |

What exactly is meant by 'structures'? its a word that get thrown around when people lament our situation and laud counties with moderate success like Roscommon. RoyalBadger (Meath) - Posts: 571 - 16/03/2016 15:22:09 1835408 Link 1 |
Royalbadger The "structures" that are in use in Dublin and Kerry for example involve their capacity, willingness, and determination to learn from mistakes on and off the field. Through well placed friends i am advised a full blooded analysis takes place after every game. This primarily revolves around what happened on the field. The manager has his input, but is always called on to answer for mistakes ,and his planned remedial action plans. nobull456 (Meath) - Posts: 1227 - 16/03/2016 16:11:29 1835435 Link 0 |
Oh now at last I know what these mysterious structures are I never taught that this explanation would ever arrive. Brownepat (Meath) - Posts: 532 - 16/03/2016 17:44:46 1835455 Link 0 |
"all games are analysed by players and management every Tuesday" I rest my case! That is why we are where we are !....County board should someone not be asking questions as well ? THE 3 WISE MEN ? What is your agenda? Get off the stage!! nobull456 (Meath) - Posts: 1227 - 16/03/2016 18:29:23 1835469 Link 0 |
Like to be fly on wall for one of the Tuesday meetings, MOD telling lads how proud he is, very surprised at manner of collapse, but after all Tyrone are really a division one team. We will address our latest disaster by doing the exact same thing next week. seadog54 (Meath) - Posts: 2150 - 16/03/2016 19:38:45 1835485 Link 11 |

First of all I am on record as saying what happened to EOB was a disgrace and furthermore he got the best out of average players papered with some excellent ones. He should Imo not only have remained another year, but should have been given two more years. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 16/03/2016 20:12:46 1835493 Link 0 |
I have no clue if there is video analysis of games played or not. But I would find it very hard to believe there isn't. or any county team isn't doing it . bobkarlgees (Meath) - Posts: 1263 - 16/03/2016 20:57:17 1835498 Link 0 |
I also think Eamonn Barry was treated badly too.. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 16/03/2016 21:53:45 1835514 Link 5 |
Have avoided this site for a few weeks because as a meath man & also a man utd fan i can't take much more.......Just a opinion on game V tyrone.......................tyrone were in second gear the whole way through & we looked like a bunch of fellows who were brought up for trials on the day......MOD has tried over 30 new players in his term,it went that bad his whole backroom team deserted him along with some fine footballers calling it a day and not making themselves available.C.B has some questions to answer come july when we are back in division 3 and out of championship. thelutch (Meath) - Posts: 1049 - 17/03/2016 13:01:11 1835578 Link 0 |
Didn't want to start a new thread for an obvious question but is the Ballyboden manager Andy McEntee the guy you guys want to take over Meath? He had some win with them today The_Fridge (Tyrone) - Posts: 2088 - 17/03/2016 17:26:45 1835629 Link 0 |
