Luck of the draw Pat

You're saying there's no good teams in group A when its the only group with a team on maximum points. There's been some good games in that group

The only reason they have won all their games is because the group is so poor. They will bet in the quarter finals.

Yeah you're prob right Maestro, suppose Gael Colmcille (semi final 2015) , Skyrne, and Rathkenny (semi final 2013) are poor teams! They missed out on league semi final by one game and feis cup final ... suppose they must've played all poor teams in all comps ... good lad ;)

Your point about Kells is decent but 3 years in football is massive so saying Skryne and Rathkenny are good teams because they got to a semi THREE years ago is nonsense.

I'd agree that its a weak group, you could see a winner coming from the other two groups but not group A.

The point is not one team from from that group will be contending for the SFC this year. There's not even a top 5 team in that group

No championship games until weekend of 24/25 of September.
That's R5 of Senior and all other championship matches.
A/B Leagues final round will be played early September instead

I don't know about that. Dunboyne were hot favourites and ended up loosing to St.Pats. You'd never know what could happen in the knockout stages. It's all to play for this year. O'Mahoneys are poor and other than Dunbpyne there doesn't seem to be a stand out contender. Roll on the knockout stages.

This is now official - the fixtures that are already out stand and will go ahead but after that there will be no xhampionship football until w/e September 25th - an absolute disgrace.

There was some teams forced to play 3 weeks in a row or slightly less to get the championships ran off and now they have to wait 6 WEEKS between their last championship game and a quarter final.

Yes people will come on here and say, well hurling needs to be looked after etc etc and I agree but the lack foresight of by the CCC and making one set of fixtures and constantly changing them is just a joke really. It is so laughable.

In Kerry recently and in a small pub they had wallet sized cards with fixture for their local club that was produced in January and had every date for every league game on it - not once had a game been changed and Kerry footballer do ok for themselves and their hurlers are doing ok these days too.

fair point after playing weekly for the last few weeks,6 weeks is a long wait. The hurling U21 final should take priority. But surely they could put football fixtures before rather than after?

Senior final date not changed. Round 5 put back 2 weeks not a big deal. Clubs I reckon are happy and will have time for injurys to mend . 2 weeks hurling and then A leagues which is good week after is all Ireland football final so good plan as far as I can see

Many of the players have been on Social Media complaining about this and that is understandable.

Around 6 weeks ago, players were given a full set of fixtures which included a date for the championship final, this was a date to work towards. Now, as expected, the dates have been changed showing no respect for players who have booked holidays after the date they thought the championship would finish and players once again have to alter their plans to suit a possible championship final.

No final dates changed in football or hurling other than IFC and that is because of the abandoned game

Not true - The JFC and JFCB finals were down for the 24/25th Sept. They probably won't be finished until mid October at the earliest now

dont think Navan can be written off yet they were in the same situation last year against skyrne in the last round and went on to win it think they still have a great chance there a different team when September comes
