The only people who are suffering from this are the dual players but I would say majority of the teams will rest them for the league games.. 3 football games in three weeks is a doddle..

Yeah its a doddle when you are told last January that the championship will played basically over the first three weekends in August.

But what about people taking holidays in August (which is most people) or if one gets injured in the first game and is out for a couple of weeks. Months of training for nothing. Pure GAA...

Very simple solution........just keep champo going,a game is better than 3 training sessions with the county.

This is a joke. The CB will pat themselves on the back for getting the championship run off quickly. Why run it off quickly and treat players like this? A complete route and branch review is needed. The is complete detachment from the players here.

The CB needs to be run like a business and the teams/players are customers which we treat appallingly.

Agreed.

Training all year just to lie down to Dublin. What are they doing in training? Meanwhile 99% of players in the county are kicking their heels waiting and waiting. Let them play with the clubs as much as possible. Might toughen them up.

Agreed.Sure Tyrone players played with their clubs last week.I also think it gives players minds a rest from the county scene.

One good championship match is better than 1month of county training and it makes no sense to start a championship in April and then run 3 matches in a row in August. All round 2 fixtures should be completed before the next round is started-complete fixture joke. Of course county players should be allowed to play league matches and then we may have better county players.

Its not about being asked to play 3 games in 3 weeks. The more games the better. However being asked to play 3 of your 5 group championship matches in 3 weeks is very unfair to all players involved. It shows the little respect the CB have for club players.

Why is it unfair? I understand that it is championship but that's just that way it is.. This has been the case for all hurlers in the county for god knows how many years and it is only effecting the club footballers now because the hurlers had such a good year and the football was put on the back burner. Duel players in my own club were playing 5+ championship games in as little as 2 weeks last summer so I fail to see how 3 in 3 weeks is an issue when correct me if I'm wrong but 1 of those games is league so the main players wont play anyway??

Just because the hurlers have faced this problem for the past few years doesnt make it alright. My point was that I think it is unfair for lads to be putting so much of their lives on hold for football/hurling for so much of the year and then to for the county board to arrange a load of games like its an after thought. Your point about 5+ games in 2 weeks is scandalous. Re my point about the 3 games, I was under the impression that there is also a round of championship on weekend of 20/21 August too but I could be mistaken.

But that is not the way is has been last few years in Hurling it has always been Week on week off Football/Hurling. The reason why some clubs have extra round is because of the Christy Ring crack. This year the reason I am told why football is getting so many weeks in a row is because of the U21 Hurlers.
Anyway every one knows once August comes in its pell mell with Championship as Meath are always in recent years gone by then.
Watch what happens in Dublin once All Ireland is over early rounds will be played belted out twice a week as all have to get teams for Leinster Club

Didn't play in the league game last week and someone told him they thought he was injured.

Thought it would be tight between Tones and Dunshauglin!

Anyone at the game? Was Daniel O'Neill midfield?

Tones missed two clear chances for goals in first 10minutes and had at least another two clear cut chances for goals later. Were a bit unlucky to lose by 1 point as the free in injury free for Dunshaughlin could have as easily ben a free out.
