Meath Hill operating in Division 2 would have to be considered serious contenders.

I think the relegation issue was badly done. I find it disgraceful that they can have the draw for the championship done and we still don't know how the team's will be relegated with regard to group positions, and by the sound of things the people in charge of these decisions don't have a clue either, nothing new there though! It was rushed through without any thought or consideration for the players involved who give over a great deal of there lives for this sport. Typical of the way things have been run on and off the field in Meath for the past 15 years.

Senior and Junior B is straight forward with the bottom team in each senior group going down and bottom 3 teams in Junior B getting relegated.
Intermediate and Junior A is a mix of bottom teams and play-offs.

Senior
The bottom team in each group will be relegated to the IFC
3 down and 1 up from Intermediate will bring it from 18 to 16

IFC
5 teams to be relegated to JAFC
The bottom team in each group goes down.
The teams finishing 2nd from bottom play off in a round robin with the bottom 2 of the 3 going down.

JAFC
7 teams to be relegated to JBFC
The bottom 2 teams in each group down to Junior B.
The 3 teams 3rd from bottom play off in a round robin with the bottom team going down.

JBFC
9 teams to be relegated to JCFC
The bottom 3 teams in each group shall be relegated.

Royal_Gunner - I do not think it is straight forward. In the senior 3 teams go straight through from the weakest group and the 3rd team in the two strong groups have to fight it out to go forward. Maybe the groups should have been seeded (on previous years championship form) as its about trying to get the two best teams into the final. I would have liked to see combination teams participating in the championship and then you could balance numbers and give everyone at chance to compete in the premier competition.

Good old Meath Delegates bunch of Sheep. Few short weeks back all up for change inspired by a good talker and they stuck their chests out and went for radical changes ( which I did not agree with) Now a club asks it to be revisited and they vote 46 to 0 and run back under mothers aprons again.

Not much spine really.

To be honest it reminds me of a certain team that wears Green and Gold and has Mr Tayto on the Chest.

I was referring to the relegation format which was asked above and you don't get much more straight forward than the bottom team in each group goes down.
I'm not sure about Senior but certainly at lower grades it has been the case that the top 3 in group A go straight into the quarters and B3 plays off against C3 in a prelim QF to make the 8th team.
That's just the luck of the draw and the seeding will be introduced next year as far as I know.

A lot of people tipping the Cilles this year. Will this year be their year? How many times have they been tipped only to falter? Biggy Reilly is some player. The Cilles remind me of the Clans in Louth. Every year the Clans are tipped to be there or there abouts in Inter and they seem to bottle it.

It's off the topic, but I was looking at the Intermediate cup draws and noticed Ballivor don't take part. Any reason why? Is it to do with hurling?

Lads , Calm down here a minute about tipping us for the intermediate, not making this up but we currently have alot of guys missing from last years panel(3 first team members ) going travelling , and secondly we have two long term injuries , along with 1 retired so ineffectively thats 6 lads missing from last year.Understand we probably have this year the most amount of young guys coming into the panel since the late 90s, but these young lads have to learn the trade before challenging for honours, believe me there's 3/4 teams that are capable of winning it this year.So let the the preparations continue and we will see nearer the championship.
