Yeah great win against a tight tough defense. Like I said we are out to win it so we don't mind who we get. Dunboyne next up!

Great win for Skyrne against a real stubborn defence. I really like that team.....no real superstars just a good bunch of lads who play for each other. My dark horses.

8 teams play in first round. If you have lights you get preferential treatment for home tie. 4 winners then play each other with the 2 winners from that straight into semi final. The 4 losers from round 1 also play each other and the 2 losers are out with the 2 winners from yhose toes into a quarter final against the 2 winners from first round who got beaten in round 2. These 2 winners from these quarter finsls play the 2 unbeaten teams in the semi's. At this stage it is straight knockout. As is normal and i did state in earlier post , summerhill as usual seem to be able to manipulate fixtures to suit themselves and are already a week behind which gives them the advatage of knowing what they face by winning or losing. I think all games should be played simultaneously

Analyst. Enough of the Summerhill conspiracy please. You may not have noticed that Simonstown had a junior A quarter final last weekend, a team that several of the minors play on. Simonstown asked for the minor match to be moved which Summerhill kindly agreed to. Are you are seriously suggesting that Summerhill may choose to loose Fridays match to give themselves a better draw? Idiotic "theory".

Really do you remember the spring league where the penultimate round match wasn't sorted til after the final round was played. More importantly the point is all games shoild be played simultaneously and having lights should not be a factor in getting home advantage

delbert, maybe you haven't noticed but with regarding Summerhill or Simonstown teams playing on the weekend. Dunshaughlin and Dunboyne both played SFC 1\4 Final on Saturday and had minor players involved. Both clubs played on Monday eve with mixed fortunes. Both games played within 48hrs of senior game, hardly equal treatment if Summerhill game was moved due to Simonstown playing a Junior game.

nearlyanative, yeah interesting. I wonder did either request their games to be moved. Not sure how many minor on either team. Not sure how many Simonstown minors were on the Junior team but most likely many more than there were Dunshaughlin and Dunboyne minors on their senior teams. Either way they both would have good justification to get their matches moved forward to this weekend if they had requested it. Both their opponents last Monday night are out of the senior championship so they should not have had and issue moving to this weekend. So I can only guess that neither asked for their games to be moved.

Big win for Summerhill.. This team has contested all the finals at this age group and done the business more often than not. Going to take a good team to get them stopped. Who have they next? Any word on when matches are to be played? Most teams left in this don't have an adult team still playing so would expect it to run off over the next 5/6 Friday evenings

Minor championship progressing well with 2 more games down for decision in the next 6 days. Was correct in 3 of the 4 first round games predicting wins for Skryne Dunboyne and Summerhll. The game I missed out on was Us losing to the Cilles. losing Diamond before the game was a big loss to our midfield and after conceding a pair of sloppy goals we lost our way. However we will never play as bad again nor will the Cilles play as well again.Expect normal servive to be resumed tomorow when we play Simmonstown. The big pitch there ( as opposed to the tight cilles pitch) will suit us. I hear Nash not playing ( rugby) along with a couple others so expect a margin of 15 points.Verdict Tones

Last match in the second round is Summerhill v Cilles. No surprise these 2 clubs are the last to play.Analyst reckons its the usual story. How come its in Skryne though?-somebody mentioned teams with lights get home advantage. In a tight game maybe the Hill to win -perhaps the fact that that they played more recently will do it for them. Verdict Summerhill.
Dunshauglin bowed out after the loss to Don ash. They lost both games narrowly.Expect great things from them next year.
Skryne beating Dunboyne was a great scalp.Still expect Dunboyne to be the challengers to the Tones. But interesting times ahead. Come tomorrow night 6 teams left.

82300 Analyst hasnt made any comment regarding Summerhill v Colmcilles match on Tuesday? Where have you seen this post? Correct me if i am wrong but isn't there a number of the Summerhill lads playing in a minor hurling champ final this weekend? Hence the reason its not on until next week. Seeing as the losing team will have to play again the following weekend, it suits neither team that this match will be played Tuesday.
Fully expect your lads to beat Simonstown who have gone backwards at this level in my opinion, would be surprised if they were to win. Neutral venue for Summerhill Colmcilles as the home team S'hill have no lights. Skyryne already in the semi will be delighted to watch this match on their doorstep. Nothing between these teams over the last 4/5 years, wouldn't rule out a draw? Summerhill are a good side and will be keen to gain revenge over Cilles beating them in last years semi. Good game ahead i expect. Cilles heads will be down after the defeat to Ratoath midweek... Hotting up

Seen as none of ye mentioned our win ill mention it.we were fantastic, every player. very proud of them. summerhill and colmcilles will be very interesting and on our pitch. like i said we bet the cilles already this year in summer league final, twice last year in the championship and the under sixteen final. dont fear getting either of these two and great advantage not having to travel to see how the line out.

Skryne Summerhill final on the cards at this stage. Expect the South Meath lads to maybe edge it but Skryne to certainly win it next year if not this year. Very open though

Dunboyne were far better team overall v skryne but goals win games and skryne took their chances. Cilles will beat summerhill. Simonstown will give tones a good test

Seasider blue...not sure why your constantly writing your team off. As for our Dunboyne match.....we won and will keep winning!! We'd give any team left a good run for there money.

Skyrne man , have to agree with you in relation to Seasider Blue Appears to have no confidence in our very own side , which has quality in abundance, this side is probably the best side to come out of the juvenile ranks within our club for the last number of years. It has a great chance to get to the final again , but I ain't going to say we are going to win it outright ,this depends on players being available & how current injuries clear up, for me there is 3 teams that has potential to win it this year , which can only be good for football within the county. An Cilles Abu.

Have to say I an begining to believe this about Sunnerhill once again their game changed and they dont have to go to St Colmcilles only neutral venue so far they must have someone on fixtures. Anyway it will be all to no avail as the Cills will beat them. Tones are back with the win last night althought it appears a bit on the lucky side. Dunboyne will have a say yet.

Division 2 Na Fianna have played their games and are in a semi St Olivers and Oldcastle also have a chance but TRIM Michaels OMahonys Vincents/Curraha and Jenkinstown also have hopes looks like a real good competition very hard to pick a winner

Div 3 Walterstown surprisingly playing this low no wonder the club is slideing Seneschalstown and Duleek als0 you would think should be better, Ratoath underage not as strong as it was while North Meath look like they could cause problems

Div 4 Slane are looking well but Rathkenny with 2 county minors will have a big say winner should come from either

Div 5 Longwood/Clonard would look best but Moynalty I reckon will be favourites

You couldn't be more wrong about ratoath under age not been as strong as it used to be , it's actually stronger then ever with all ages competing in div 1 with the exception of this years minors and all ages winning regularly
