Players Who Were Not On The Meath Panel Last Year.

Ziggy
Daragh Smyth is not an option for corner back. Although he wears the number 4 he rarely plays there. Spends more time in the opposition half than his own. Very effective in that roving role but most definitely not an inter county corner back. We need to find another Keoghan/Mark Reilly type no nonsense defender. Easier said than done though...

Jesus above is Terry Skelly not in his 30's?? Maybe i'm wrong on that.

Yea Micko seems determined to fit round pegs into square holes alright. Keoghan is an Inter county corner back, use him as one.

maybe some of you will view this as a biased opinion considering im from ballinlough but im still shocked that not one person has recommended a ballinlough player? correct me if im wrong but did we not have the best or one of the best defensive records in the championship group stages. weve some great players that could in my opinion make a difference

Well at this stage we will need plenty new talent coming through the amount of players who are making themselves unavailable is astounding.

Royaldunne, your ruining a lot of threads here with the same theme. Everyone knows how you feel about Mick O'Dowd, try sticking to the topic of the thread.

Not rumour one bit. Unlike vast majority here i use my actual name as part of my username, everyone knows where i live in Westmeath and the 2 areas i am from in Meath. This was from the horses mouth literally!!!! .
If you don't like it tough, i only ever speak the truth.
My opinion on mod is well known. So my question to both ziggy and shoulder2whell is should we on a forum like this not report the FACTS? Is that not the purpose of this forum?? Furthermore your personal opinion of a player is irrelevant as he was involved in panel last year. Again all these facts,
So lets stick to the facts rather than shooting the messenger, btw ziggy i recall you been a cheerleader for mod in the past

Never a cheerleader, but was willing to gove him a chance when he came in,big big difference.I share many posters views on Mick, but if players have said what you say, well could that not be sour grapes for not playing?
