Disaster,very rarely miss a Meath champ game,so not even to be able to see it on tv will be a killer :( ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 06/07/2015 14:13:11 1748460 Link 0 |
Don't worry ziggy, you won't be missing much, that's no real consolation I know, I hate missing championship games as well, but I'd say you may get a feeling of relief come 4.30 on Saturday that you didn't waste your petrol. Htaem (Meath) - Posts: 8657 - 06/07/2015 14:23:01 1748474 Link 0 |

Not a great time for throw in but given the weekend that's in it I'm not surprised, let's just get as many royalers into Omagh as we can next Saturday, very possible to win this game if our mental state has been addressed..... Richieq (Meath) - Posts: 3734 - 06/07/2015 15:02:53 1748536 Link 0 |

I know we're well capable of winning the game player for player as ziggy said and I'm genuinely not worried about Tyrone. I'm worried about us, I'm worried about our fitness, I'm worried about management and I'm worried about the mental fragility of our team, we haven't responded well to crushing defeats in recent history but I really hope that changes on Saturday. Hopefully a big crowd travel for this. Win and we're set up for a decent run. There's always hope and Tyrone have a shocking record in Omagh lately. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 06/07/2015 15:16:51 1748562 Link 0 |

Htaem I agree especially about our mental fragility factor. I believe we can paper over the cracks and win this one. I would think players are very frustrated and annoyed, and just want to give it one helluva lash. Hoping to pick up most breaking ball in middle third with maximum workrate and outscore them. At this point we cannot expect to win with any other approach. Our physical fitness will be fully tested ,and we will probably have to use 5 subs wisely.Mental toughness will be absolutely vital,as will a good dollop of luck.It is down to the 20 lads to give it everything. We will maximise support for their efforts. I hope on this occasion players will not be inhibited by wondering "what am i supposed to do now with the game plan" For now use your instinct! Help ,and be helped as needed. If you lose possession give it everything to win it back. Remember there are thousands of Meath men who would love to be wearing your jersey right now. Best of luck to MICKO and his WARRIORS !! We all live in HOPE !! nobull456 (Meath) - Posts: 1227 - 06/07/2015 15:55:14 1748634 Link 0 |
Can't make this Saturday as I'm going to Fleetwood mac (and had two tickets for the Mcgregor title fight).. didn't think i'd need to be available for a qualifier match this weekend.. oh well brian (Meath) - Posts: 1954 - 06/07/2015 16:25:07 1748668 Link 0 |
Prior to Sunday, Cork were on the receiving end of a lot of negative comment and deservedly so. They responded with a performance and were unlucky not to get the win. If our lads can rise above the negativity and put in a performance worthy of the jersey, then this is very winnable. I believe they can and will! moylagh (Meath) - Posts: 484 - 06/07/2015 16:25:31 1748669 Link 0 |
Played game behind closed doors on Saturday.Dont know who we played .Did hear o rourke, carroll started Gillespie played 20 mins. This is going to be interesting game and I can see black or red card in first 25 mins maybe sooner. It also has been confirmed to me that boylan spoke to players last Thursday night and he attended training wow a lot going on.What has been said a lot recently is who ever is in charge next year they will bring geraghty and moyles in for sure. tampa (Meath) - Posts: 54 - 06/07/2015 16:31:26 1748674 Link 0 |
