So the team is named, Mc Hugh starts in goal, Reilly is moved from Midfield to CHB, Mickey Burke out for Dalton, Menton gone into Midfield with Rooney.

I think that is a weak spine in defence. For Mc Hugh, I would not like to be in his position debuting in the Championship with no big game experience. McGill got a lesson against Westmeath, also on his debut..the league is long over so time to step up. Kevin Reilly is not fully fit and definitely does not have the legs for CHB for this game. And inevitably when he goes off what sort of rejigging will have to be done?
Dropping Burke is a strange one, he was arguably the only defender from the Westmeath game that ran his socks off and gives 100% every time he plays. He has fire in the belly which is needed against the brute 'style' that Tyrone play.
The forwards are as is don't think there can be too many complaints.

I really really hope that Meath have a backlash in them However, I wouldn't put money on it. This team has failed spectacularly over the last 3 years specifically. O'Dowds championship record vs Northern teams has been abysmal. This is the last role of the dice for Mick no matter what in my opinion.
Tyrone dont really matter, they are a shadow of the team that won All Irelands a decade ago. I would fear for Meath against any opposition after the collapse against Westmeath.

I see the ref is from Ulster - not an advantage either when we need all we can get

Best Wishes to all - hope I have to eat my words.

There's not a hope that team will start at 3pm in Omagh, at least 3 changes before throw in.

I know McMahon played well against Westmeath but anyone worried that he will be bullied by Tyrone because of his size?

What is Moyles record as a manager? St Pauls will not get out of their group.
Hardly shortlist material for inter county. They shipped at least eight goal chances v Pats.
This is hardly tactically astute. Surely Andy Mc Entee,Liam Harnan or even Jodie have better credentials.

Ziggy neither of the teams lines out as selected to date. Harsh on moyles...he has probably the worst panel too pick from in Meath with st Pauls....def in bottom 3

I would suggest the key will be the attitude and approach of the TEAM more than who actually plays. Personally i would play BURKE instead of Dalton,Newman instead of Tormey. switch Keoghan with mc Entee. Reilly switch with mc Gill [assuming Reilly is fit enough to play] I do accept selectors are better placed of course to see efforts and fitness at training. Wont accept team not fit enough, wont accept TEAM not fully primed at this point to give it everything. Wont accept Team not working to a clear plan with some room for deviation if required. For this team and management its now or never. I dont see Tyrone as world beaters anyway. I expect us to outscore them. I believe traditional Meath GRIT AND WILL TO WIN will prevail on this occasion very much against the odds!!

Ye definitely being harsh on moyles, I mean this year with Paul's in th league alone he's secured a draw with kilmainhamwood, masterminded a victory over moylagh and ran ballivor, Vincent's, Slane and boardsmill close. Ok they won't reach the knockouts but they're safe from relegation!

Unlike joey Wallace I think Bryan mcmahon will be fine. He's got the potential to be the new bray.

Sadly joey not so much.

I'm not feeling positive about this but I still have hope. It's been too long since we beat a half decent team. Going out to Kildare, laois, Tyrone and Armagh these last 4 years. Hopefully tomorrow is not 5 years of losing to a team similar to us.

Newman has got to play lads.. Apart from that I wouldn't have many arguments with the team named

its worrying that heavy rain is expected for tomorrows game and interestingly enough the last 3 years in a row we've lost our last qualifier game when there has been heavy rain; laois in 2012, tyrone in 2013 and Armagh 2014. unlike the meath team of old, this team does not adapt well to rainy days. its looking like a bad sign, I felt optimistic earlier in the week but now i will be heading to omagh hoping that we don't get a hammering, sadly I don't think we have any chance of winning.

Tyrone in 2013 was a balmy sunny evening wasn't it??? Blaming the rain is a cop out if all cop outs....sure our best league win was against down in horrific conditions....if we lose please don't blame the rain as it's embarrassing
