Also did McMahon play as a proper corner forward?

Yeah he did, he won some good ball and kicked a nice couple of points, again I think he's a confidence player once he got a couple of balls he came into the game much stronger

After attending almost all of meath games under micko I can honestly say I am starting to see genuine progress been made.Their seems to be self believe ,pride, honour, big time commitment being restored to the meath jersey by a very young bunch of players.4 years ago we were a total mess with no identity and very few young players coming thru. Now we have a 3-4 even more every year coming onto the panel.
Watching the game last sunday compared to challenges 4-6 years ago you can defintley see their is a massive turnaround in fitness ,strength and most of all attidude and hunger for the game.
Biggy and Menton are prime examples they look and act like totally different athletes than in previous years.I certainly know we have a long way to go but we all need to get behind the team and keep the progress going.
McGill, keoghan, menton, gillespie, biggy, tormey, brayzer, tobin, would get on most division 1 teams and probably few more Wallace, newman etc
future looks bright with young talent.

Nice to see a bit of optimism tampa, I think we have the makings of a good young team aswell, it's now up to the manager, coaches and players themselves to push on and also I'd love to see a relatively clean bill of health heading into the championship (don't think you'll ever get 100%). I think we were missing too many players last year to cope, especially around the middle but we have more depth there now and fingers crossed McGill can continue his good form and K Reilly can stay injury free, that should give us a very good spine and allow Keogan back into 2.

Also players like Harnan and Menton have improved significantly since their switches to 11 and 7 respectively and Biggy and Tormey have plenty of scores in them from 10 and 12. Our full forward line should be interesting this summer aswell, I'd like to see E Wallace, S Bray and Newman all on form because they can cause serious damage on their day, but we also have a few others to come in like O'Rourke for example who can push those lads but I'd like to see more from play from Mark O'Sullivan.

Agree Tampa. Need to improve mentally and be more streetwise and ruthless.

Would add paddy to that list too

It is good to have a high level of optimism and especially players require that, however sometimes it is good to be real! Tampa how many of the players would you think would get on the Kerry Div 1 team?

Ye it's sort of a negative way of looking at it anyway, who really cares how many of our players would get on the Kerry or Dublin etc team. They're on our team, we need to support them and if they come up against Dublin or Kerry etc they need to do their best to beat them, if they do beat them then nobody would even consider the irrelevant question of 'how many of our lads who get on their team'.

You sir are very deluded. Some of them lads have a job to play well for Meath!

BROWNCOWS
Please stop been so negative and technical. What I am saying is-Micko,Staff,Players are understanding and willing to work hard to get us to become a top tier team again.I don't want to repeat myself but if you look closely he is building from scratch over last 3 years except for a few players. Finally we are seeing evidence of a man that has a plan for the future not for 1-3 years. He deserves credit for this instead of doing what all managers have done after boylan.
Finally he has created competition for places in every line on the field with a very young talented squad.
When I saw biggy, orourke, menton busting themselves in a challenge match last sunday it really showed me that pride and honour is coming back to these players and wearing the jersey
now lets support them and I believe barring severe injuries they will make noise this summer
