Junior B

Royalard ...the Mary's gave one walkover this year so I don't know we're you getting walkovers from....they had 8 players missing from last night team from the previous quarter final defeat from Vincent's last September due to injuries, retirement and a transfer to a louth club.which has hit the club hard and to top that off with 3 more players getting bad injuries last night in the last ten minutes of the game,so it's a season of hard knocks. But the Mary's will keep fighting on this season and hopefully get lads back from injury over the coming months and pick up a few wins.vincents were awesome in the first half of the match last night with such a young team there future in junior football is very bright and credit to all the underage mentors in the vincents over the last number of years who got these players to the adult level, they have some terrific Young footballers in the adult team now and best of luck to them I don't think a junior b title is too far away from Vincents with this young team.

If St. Paul's were playing anything like they played 2 years ago it was bound to be very physical.

Moynalty are the best team in junior b and they will win the championship, this is a young team coming through that will also do well next year in the real junior competition, not only did they test curraha they missed a pen with 3 mins left that would have put them in front, with tones and a few other decent teams getting promoted there's no one left in junior b that will be able to stop moynalty come knockout.

Yes, they are good - no doubt about it but I would fancy Senchalstown over them. They have some very experienced players capable of doing a lot of damage. Some Junior A teams are hanging on by their fingernails. Although St Vincents, St Marys and Slane might have something to say in where the Junior B goes.

Not Bashing either team! But after looking at results on the meath website how did the "great" Moynalty draw with one of the poorest teams in Moynalvey??

Junior B kicks off again. Its probably the most lobsided of the Championships. i often wonder can something be done to sort it. It would be better if the B Leagues wheRe ran to a close and then the Championships started at all low levels of Junior B,C & D. But with 1st teams in it that cant happen. Would it be better if the 1st teams played Junior A. Ok some teams like Pauls and Kilbride would struggle but they strugglin at the moment and losing to 2nd teams cant help morale. There is always a good 2nd team to win Junior B every year almost.

If the 2nd teams in Junior A and Donaghmore from IFC and the best 2nd teams from Junior B played in a reserve Championship would it be better they play together in B League as it is, then the reserve league could be played to a finish and then play a Championship. I also think the same should be the case for 1st teams at Senior Inter and Junior A this stop start is not right really

any way my predicts

JFC B
OMahonys v Gaeil Colmcille.....Navan have not been good enough since winning Junior C a few years ago. Kells to be best here
Moynalvey v D/Bellewstown... Bottom of the group could be at steak Moynalvey did well to draw with Moynalty. They might win here
D/Ashbourne v St.Patricks...Ash put it up to Vincents but Pats are dark horses
Walterstown v Kilbride... Kilbride need a win to keep them from propping up table cant see it here
Nobber v Moynalty... Moynalty got kick in butt last time that should be enough to win this local Derby but not by much
St.Pauls v St.Marys.... Hard to call but maybe Marys
Trim v St. Vincents.... Vincents I say Trim football at a low ebb
Dunderry v Seneschalstown... Seneschalstown for me
Slane v St. Colmcilles... This be tight but maybe Slane to keep improving

LaST ROUND TIME

JFC B
Duleek/Bellewstown v Moynalty.. Moynalty easy
Kilbride v Moynalvey.. Kilbride have all at stake but Moynalvey should be best
Nobber v Walterstown. Good times for the Nobber lads Nobber to push on
JFC B
St. Colmcilles v Dunderry ... Dead rubber Cilles maybe

St. Marys v St. Patricks.. East Meath battle Pats to win
St. Vincents v St. Pauls.. Pauls are out Vincents to win
Donaghmore/Ashbourne v Trim.. Maybe Don/Ash
Seneschalstown v Gaeil Colmcille.. Kells seniors missing a few Seneschalstown to win
O'Mahonys v Slane. This will be a right one Slane are tru OMahonys in relegation but doing good in League Slane to beat the Navan 3rds

Gaeil Colmcille v St Marys... Marys got right hammering last day will do better here but Kells should win
St Vincents v Nobber. Hard to call Nobber are not bad, Vincents are decent they should get tru
St Pats v Seneschalstown. Pats seem very strong and are looking to go from Junior C to A in successive years and can take another step here. Seneschalstown will give them a fair test.
Slane v Moynalvey. The rise from the ashes for Slane goes on and their fire wont be dampened here.

So the Junior B is down to the last 5 teams, although St Vincents seems to be forgotten about by The County Board - Gael Colmcille vs Moynalty down as a semi.

So with Moynalty, St Vincents, Gael Colmcille, Slane and Senechalstown left, who do people think will make the step up to Junior A?

In relation to Junior B, I would also like to make the point of how bad local media treat this grade of football. Irrelevant of what people think there are 6 clubs who's first team put in as much effort as other clubs and they deserve to be treated the same as any other club in the County.

What do people think?!

Winners?!

Moynalty v Gaeil Colmcilles
This is the biggest test for Moynalty yet local derby with a Club that is firing really well on all levels this year. They have knocked on the door so many times their knuckles are fairly bruised at this stage maybe the bruising to their confidence is more worrying. Can they go a step further than last year. It will be a big task but they maybe just about up to it

Slane v Seneschalstown
Slane will be really happy that they got this far will that satisfy their hunger Me thinks not plenty of young lads that dont remember the bad times. Seneschalstown are a formidable foe plenty of lads who know what winning is about and a sprinking of youth also. This might be a step to far for Slane
