Ya was very impressed with Lenihan yesterday, scored some good points from play, scored some good frees from the ground.his general play was very good though, doesn't panic and set the tone for Dunboyne.Could play at 11 for Meath imo...

As for Forde? MOD should beg him to come back, good speed and great strength for a small guy,but what impressed me most is his workrate and a half forward who tracks back intelligently..

If rumours about Forde's problems with MOD are true (and we all know that what lads say on the Hoganstand Forum is gospel truth!) then it is unlikely that he will be back. Shame really - he does look like someone who could bring something to the panel. Even if it was someone to bring on with 20 minutes to go when legs were tiring.

And with Stephen Bray retiring, there would be a place for him on the panel without exceeding the Navan OMahony's quota. Can you imagine what would happen if there were 5 Ratoath lads and 3 or 4 O'Mahony's lads on the panel/team. The heads on some lads would explode altogether!!

No surprises over the weekend with Na Fianna & OMAHONYS progressing. No matter what great year for the Kells lads though.

I thought Shane Geraghty's (Na Fianna)kick outs were very good on Sat evening. The amount of times he litterally put the ball into a teammates hands over 60 yards away was a joy to watch. Although he did not have many shots to block on this occsion he did so brillantly in the quarter final. Well worth inclusion on the county panel.

Certainly well worth a look at new goal-keepers. While Paddy O'Rourke is a decent shot-stopper and is good under the high ball, He also has a tendency to do some very silly things and his distribution is terrible. I like my keepers to be solid but unspectacular. Always wary of keepers with ideas about themselves - a keeper who tries to stand out and be seen, usually ends up making a hash of something and giving away cheap scores.

Jamie Queeney does have good days, but that's the problem he's just too inconsistent to nail down a spot for the county side. I think Dan Queeney is easily the most talented player on a decent Na Fianna side so it's beyond me why he hasn't got a shot on the senior county team yet, surely will come the start of next season. McDonagh is a good club footballer but he was given his chance at inter county and was shown to be out of his depth at that level. I don't necessarily believe the best club side in the county has to have the most players on the county side. Look at Dublin, Vincents are probably the best club side in the capital, and have aspirations of going for another All-Ireland club but only Connolly and the sub keeper were from Vincents on the All-Ireland winning panel.
