Keegan Cup 2015

Well it will be a knock out match when we play Tones in a few months with the way the fixtures are organised but I still think that with a full team and hopefully a suitable venue we could knock them out. We had a great win over Nobber last week and if we get all our players fit and on the field we could add to Tones woes. I have seen them a couple of times this year and the spark is well gone, you no longer get the sense of danger from their forwards and their backline is a shadow of what it was a couple of years back

cowardlyasafox, what do you mean a suitable venue??
If you are suggesting Navan, I feel for you boys as there's nobody in your squad to deal with the power of Alan Callaghan running in the open spaces, not to mention both Wards, thoughts??

SFC
Gaeil Colmcille v Blackhall Gaels Thursday 6/8/15
Kells did well to win Feis Cup will the Battle of Grangegodden in League v Ratoath affect them much maybe so Blackhall are a funny bunch not much good but Tobin is a real leader I have a feeling Blackhall might shock them
Friday 7 August

SFC
St. Peters v Dunboyne Moynalvey.... Harnan is injured and both OSullivans still out only one winner here Dunboyne
Navan O'Mahonys v Ballinlough.. Ballinlough will battle nothing surer but OMahonys will win.

Saturday 8 August

SFC
Seneschalstown v St. Patricks... Seneschalstown picking things up a bit up I think Pats might nick it
Walterstown v Na Fianna... Cant see anything other than a Na Fianna win

Sunday 9 August

SFC
Duleek/Bellewstown v Summerhill.. Hill begining to rumble Bellewstown not at the races here
Wolfe Tones v Rathkenny. Can Rathkenny upset the neighbours maybe not Tones to edge it
Skryne v Donaghmore/Ashbourne.. Don/Ash for me just dont think Skryne have enough but it local derby and stranger things have happened Harry Rooney away so D/A to win
Tuesday 11 August

SFC
Simonstown v Dunshaughlin.. Dunshuaghlin flying high in League but they normally do that Simonstown will cut their bush

SFC
Gaeil Colmcille v Blackhall Gaels: Kells have already done the hard bit in beating the so called 'tougher' teams in Na Fianna and Simonstown. Two wins should see them through in top spot. They have a Feis Cup and league final while Blackhall were relegated. After the outcome of Kells' game with Ratoath they could find the going tough against Blackhall but should still win - GAEIL COLMCILLE
St. Peters v Dunboyne v Moynalvey: Moynalvey surprised many with thier wins over Summerhill and Duleek. Their c'ship form has been vastly different to their league form. They're a different animal when they have everyone fit and will run Dunboyne close but will just fall short - ST. PETER'S DUNBOYNE
Navan O'Mahonys v Ballinlough: Ballinlough relegated in the league and now face the champions. The Lough did well to beat St. Pats but will do very well to keep within 5 or 6 points of NOM. NOM got a scare from the Pats and will be alert of any more shocks - NAVAN O'MAHONYS
Seneschalstown v St. Patricks: The Furze men just survived relegation from the league but they could be in for another relegation decider with Ballinlough in two weeks if they lose to St. Pat's. Pats will be buoyed after holding NOM to a draw and should scrape another win for safety - ST. PATRICK'S
Walterstown v Na Fianna: Difficult to see anything but a Na Fianna win here. Na Fianna for the quarter finals while Walterstown look the favourites for Intermediate next year - NA FIANNA
Duleek/Bellewstown v Summerhill:A blip against Moynalvey could have derailed the Hills season but they came back strong against the Tones. A win here will leave them on course for the knock outs once more and they should achieve that. Looks like just another year for Duleek - SUMMERHILL
Wolfe Tones v Rathkenny: Local derby here. Neither club up to the standard this year. With Meade back full time Rathkenny had high hopes but average league form was compounded by average c'ship displays. Tones not much better but could scrape over the line in a tight affair - WOLFE TONES
Skryne v Donaghmore/Ashbourne: Skryne having a great year so far but they may lose their first against last years runners-up having already qualified for the knock outs - DONAGHMORE/ASHBOURNE
Simonstown v Dunshaughlin: Dunshaughlin going well this year and should nick past the navan side here. Simonstowns bad opening looks like its going to cost them - DUNSHAUGHLIN

what are the team news regarding this weekends fixtures? i imagine na fianna and wolfe tones are the safest bets of the weekend at prices of 4/11 and 2/5 respectively ? what are your thoughts?

Dunboyne 2/5 also with Harnan and O'Sullivans missing for Moynalvey and Kells at 4/6 with Mattimoe and Reilly both returning from the States for tomorrow nights clash with Blackhall Gaels looks like a great bet to me!

O mahonys drawing with pats and losing to ballinlough, are they on the decline? And should dunboyne be taken seriously this year? Huge win last night

I think NOM will be better in the knock out stages..

Dunboyne need to be taking seriously, unbelievable that Lenihan did not see more playing time with Meath.

Ziggy
Have to agree apparently he scored 1-9 against Moynalvey on Friday evening. And after Summerhill draw with D/B last night they will now top the group regardless of the result of their last game v Summerhill. They wont be far away this year.

Senior, inter, junior A knockout format What's the format for the knockout stages, who plays who? Usually we know what winner of a group matches up with the 3rd place qualifier in another group and so on.

Am I right in saying in the Senior anyway.

3 from group A and 2 from Groups B and C withe the third teams in the latter groups playing a Preliminary Q/F. (B3 vs C3)
