Junior Championship

Would throwing reserve teams out of the main championships not dilute the quality of the junior championship even further? Moynalty have been trying to get out of the Junior B for the last 10 years, what makes anyone think they'd suddenly be competitive because they got thrown into junior A?

What happens if a 1st team is simply too weak for junior and spends year after year at the bottom of the junior championship, losing every match they play, but cant go down to a more competitive level? If Kilbride or St. Pauls were put into the Junior A, their chances of winning would be 0, they'd effectively have nothing to play for.

I reckon Moynalty, St Vincents, St Marys, Slane and the team that gets relegated this year probably Boardsmill would go 100% for this they are fed up with some or other Senior 2nd team knocking them out each year. Kilbride where so disappointed to drop to Junior B last year that I feel they too would go for it and they have a thriving Juvenile setup. St Pauls with no underage and relying on a few from Dunboyne or the Dublin clubs around them would struggle no doubt but sure they struggling as it is so why hold all the other Junior clubs to ransom.
People are right no 2nd team has won the JFC in a long time but just by being in it they distort how the competition pans out.
Moynalty had a motion a few years back to do this but it was lost as bigger clubs had more votes

The winner of the junior will come from the semi final pairing of Curragha Bective. That is the Final. Other side is poor. Carnaross are solid but have no depth and no legs for the young teams left in it. Simonstown will turn Dunsany over. Dunsany have lost to all 2nd string teams this year. They do not have the cuteness to handle the senior 2nd teams. Simonstown will lose to Carnaross in the semi.
Its all Curragha from here on in.

fair point there think carnaross will have a say though bective wont beat curragha, wouldnt write off dunsany they did beat skryne so havent lost to all second teams and kept o'mahonys to 2 points 2 days after their 3 of their players were playing for their county. but can't see bective overturning carnaross

3 out of 5 at JFC. But I be 1 out of 1 this week as Dunsany knock the last second team out.

Glenny how can you tip Moylagh to beat Dunsany then do a complete u turn and tip Dunsany to get over simonstown. Does not add up. Simonstown are strong regardless of who has gone up to senior. We lost to them in group stages and were very impressed.

Simple there is Hurling the next 2 weekends. Dunsany have hurlers so have Curragha, I think Mulhall from Bective plays Hurling too.

That fecking Hurling always messes stuff up (yeah you guessed it I am really Gerry Mac)

Carnaross are terrible lads. They have no legs and no heart. Dunsany will ease into the final!

the junior hurling will be ran off over the next two weeks then the junior semi finals the week after then the final 2 weeks later im guessing the senior football is 3 weeks away aswell considering the junior is the curtain raiser
