Looks like the 18th September and the preliminary QF on the 10th.
Not really sure why the county board are dragging out the championship some teams will have qualified already and have 6 weeks to wait before there next competitive game?

Junior A champ always strikes me as unfair with typically rural clubs grouped against some senior clubs reserve sides.

agreed, Curraha will be delighted to play O'mahonys now, I think skyne might even put it up to them. big game between summerhill and dunsany, dunsany wont want to go through the play-off. I'd expect them to scrap the win

Clonard v Simonstown. Simonstown lost both midfielders. They tru pulling up anyway. Clonard in relegation no matter what. They should save themselves and will win here to start their salvation
Carnaross v St. Peter's Dunboyne. Word is Carnaross down a few. They might win here but wont go much further
Drumconrath v Dunshaughlin.. Dead rubber. Drums might want to finish on a win and should do that
Summerhill v Dunsany. This is a big one Dunsany will want to keep winning and should do so.
Skryne v Navan O'Mahony's. Navan losing players all the time but should handle skryne
St Brigid's v Meath Hill. This will be tight Hill need to win Brigids in relegation and Like Clonard will want to get going here. Hill will be up for it it be close maybe Hill with greater need will edge it
Boardsmill v Curraha.. Currha on their was to Intermediate will win here
Bective v Wolfe Tones. Bective will ease on and win by 6
Moylagh v Kilmainhamwood.. All to play for Moylagh lose and they in Relegation win and the quailify. Kwood need to win to go forward and to be honest the Club needs it. Tight pitch will suit Moylagh who are pulling out all the stops with Willie McGrath and some lad home fro USA maybe a draw. Kwood will scrape tru

Clonard v Simonstown - Simonstown will consolidate top with comfortable win
Carnaross v St Peter's Dunboyne - Recent injuries to Carnaross players should swing this Dunboyne's way
Drumconrath v Dunshaughlin - Though the Drums might still be hung over from league success they should finish campaign with a narrow win
Summerhill v Dunsany - Dunsany are already qualified and will not be as hungry as Summerhill who must win to ensure qualification and end an improving Meath Hill's chances
Skryne v Navan O'Mahony's - Navan can beat Skryne who have nothing to play for but pride
St Brigid's v Meath Hill - St Brigid's are in a relegation play-off regardless and Meath Hill need win to have any hope of advancing. Always a tight encounter but the Hill's need will be greater
Boardsmill v Curraha - Curraha will cruise home
Bective v Wolfe Tones Bective by a good margin
Moylagh v Kilmainhamwood a lot on the line for both likely the wood but just about

Not sure about that, neither playing their best football this year, seen a few of the games and i'm sure they have more players to offer also Niall McDonald is back from injury and so will give a great boost to the rest of the team up front.

Clonard v Simonstown - Simonstown are losing players but still have a danger factor
Carnaross v St Peter's Dunboyne - Carnaross will go close to winning the competition outright.
Drumconrath v Dunshaughlin - Dunshaughlin are disappointed they have not qualified and being a dead rubber I don't know. Dunshaughlin are a little better.
Summerhill v Dunsany - Dunsany are riding there luck. Summerhill may have too much this time.
Skryne v Navan O'Mahony's - Navan all the way
St Brigid's v Meath Hill - St Brigid's should not be involved in relegation. They are not a bad team from what I have seen. They should have bet Dunsany in the last round. They should win here and end Meath Hills chances of qualifying
Boardsmill v Curraha - Curraha cruising
Bective v Wolfe Tones. Bective by a long shot
Moylagh v Kilmainhamwoo. Moylagh if the rumors of Willie McGrath is playing

A drastic overhaul of the Junior A foootball championship is in dire need. The way it is now, reserve senior teams are skewing it. Good junior teams in their own right are failing to make the knockout stages because they are playing against de facto senior teams in the early rounds. Meath Hill, St Brigid's, Drumconrath and Kilmainhamwood are teams that could be challenging for outright honours in their own right only they came up against reserve senior teams in the first couple of rounds. Brigid's had Navan, Summerhill and Skryne in their first three for God's sake. As the rounds progress these senior reserve teams are losing players to their senior sides and a much weaker team makes the quarter-finals as a result.
I would suggest that all seven of the senior teams currently there are piled into one group from which three qualify. The remaining two groups would consist of regular junior sides - one group of six with the top three qualifying and a group of five with the top two qualifying. Should another reserve senior team come up or go down to Junior A next year just rearrange the groups accordingly as long as the senior reserves stay together.

Agree with your points about an overhaul needed Emmet,

Dont agree with you saying these teams should be competing for honors in their own right
St Brigids lost all five yes tough start but still lost all five at the end of the day
Kilmainhamwood only had to play one senior second team and finished behind 3 junior teams.

Id agree that Meath hill and Drumconrath are unlucky both were close enough to qualifying.

Either the senior teams are grouped together or bigger panels have to be named stopping big senior players playing first few rounds.

Are the quarter finals in two weeks time?
