are you sure head to head comes before points difference this season?

Ziggy,

Some on the main page has said the same , that head to head isn't the decider this year. Is that true?

so if meath beat cavan and roscommon and down both win we dont go through on head to head even tho we will prob have the best score difference

As it stands we are promoted, but having to play one of the tied teams means even if we win and Roscommon win, then on head to head we wont get promotion. Unless Laois win. You could go around in circles trying to work out permutations.
Just concentrate on beating Cavan and lets see what unfolds.

ya think that clears it up, a bit annoying IF we miss out on promotion and have the best scoring difference.. But you never know,be more annoying if we don't beat Cavan and fail to promote because of that!

At least there are no dead rubber games where promotion and relegation are concerned. Westmeath beat Kildare and Laois so still have plenty to play for against Roscommon. Even a draw would save them if Laois lost to Down and Kildare didn't beat Galway. Oh if only my mammies county could sort out the Rossies, and we take care of our northern neighbours.

Great to see Meath getting streetwise and running down the clock to frustrate down and close out the game.more of the same please.

Huge expectations were on Gillespie and he delivered. No coincidence to see Meath winning and lording it at midfield with his return.our shooting is still woeful at times and we badly need a solid freetaker.

yeah great to see Gillespie back for the champ and we would have a midfielder on the bench to come on in Flanagan or Rooney.

Basically, promotion is not in our own hands. We are depending on results from elsewhere. All we can do is win our remaining game and hope.
Good performance last saturday on a difficult night for football. Great to see Gillespie back and McEntee put in a good shift. Being able to bring on subs of the calibre of Menton, Newman and Bray shows our panel is getting stronger as player come back from injury
