Rossies v Meath

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Ziggy im surrounded down here , Meath should be ahead by 5, graham Reilly having a great game Kevin looks very fit for a man who hadn't played for so long, O'Rourke on subs, Gillespie was warming up earlier, don't know if today was day to change around team so much . One word of caution ref is very poor , ill leave it at that, but you can guess what im getting at, anyway back to my pack of tayto and bottle of orange.

we need a link man between defence and attack! like Trevor Giles or a Paul Flynn!we seem decent on paper but don't seem to be able to put it all together on the pitch.
Why MOD persists with Burke at 4 is beyond me and many other supporters!i thought Damien Carroll
could of been that link man but he's heading USA bound now from what I hear from reliable sources..to me I had great faith in MOD but now I think his race is run

heard it on the radio, but now we need to focus on staying up.

Seems Newman missed a lot of frees and big mistake from POR in what was a poor game?

Mattie Kerrigan seemed to be having a bit of a go at management

Hard luck Meath. Scrappy game but I'd say ye will have no issues in staying up. Roscommon were the better side in the second half. Maybe royal Dunne will think twice now before speaking about Roscommon.

Just back at car, Meath literally kicked that game away, i seldom say this but the better team lost.
Roscommon are not a good team, something has to be done about frees and Newman, it ain't working anymore. We threw away promotion today, plain and simple.

RD

We were always gonna do that,Keoghan is needed at corner back,Burke should not be corner back and why is David Bray on the panel?

Ill be quite clear. Of all the teams we have played Roscommon are the worst in this division, they play blanket puke football, you cant legislate for a gk kicking a ball into a forwards hands, kamakasi defending for first goal, and the amount of simple frees never mind shots missed was unbelievable, Roscommon are going nowhere, unfortunately neither are Meath , in dumbfounded that the far superior team threw that game away.

Have to agree with RD we threw promotion away today, had the better play and better chances but just like last weekend couldn't finish scoreable chances, 3 points down the drain through no ones fault but our bad shooting

Awful result, far too many mistakes made which cost us the game and promotion for another year, now we have to try and stay in the division which will be very tricky for this Meath team, what a difference 2 points either way can make.

very bad results today, Meath losing and Laois winning put us into regulation territory.
Poor scoring again, Great to see the three lads back, but all on the field at same time? in such a crucial game

Hard luck today lads. RD I haven't a clue where you came up with the assertion that a team who just beat ye and sit 2nd in the table are the "worst in the division", but I've a fair idea you're feeling a little bit sore so I won't say any more.

Paddy O'Rourke was in hard luck with the stray kick out and it was the turning point.

Best of luck for the rest of the campaign, I hope ye stay up.

2nd in the league and u21 in the Connacht final. Yeah Roscommon clearly going nowhere. Get over yourself Royaldunne. Pure sore loser. Worse than Jason Ryan last week going on about the penalty that wasn't even going to win the game!

very disappointing result, our chances of promotion are not gone yet tho, we are still 3rd in the table, two more games left. I wouldn't be giving up hope yet.
