Well i doubt tormey will be fit for Sunday, he would have been excellent at opening up the blanket defense, but we are where we are, i cant understand why Gillespie is on subs and not been used,
My team would be
Por
Dalton
McGill
Tobin
Judge
Keoghan
Burke
Menton
Rooney /Flanagan
Reilly
Harnan

Can see what your saying ziggy but I think hes a decent player. Yeah the chronicle said up to 3 months, thats the worst case scenario, but id say hes out for at least a couple of weeks.

Tormey in or Tormey out, it's time for people to step up and be counted. We are in a place where we can go up and play with the big boys or we can remain a third rate team.I would have Bray in the corner, fast ball into him, and there is no better player around, Wallace on the other side and Newman in the middle . Where is Shane O'Rourke? He played with Simonstown a few weeks back. The rest of the team should remain the same . With O'Sullivan in for Tormey. If this team was good enough for 35 minutes the last day lets give them the chance to be good enough for 70 the next day. Our backs are to the wall, 3 games in 3 weeks. 3 hard games in 3 weeks but if we are ever to dream of beating Dublin in the summer we cannot be afraid of trips to Roscommon Newry and having Cavan at home. I think we can do it, sometimes a good kick in the arse is all people need. It became too easy against Westmeath. Meath came back onto the pitch very early against Laois. Micko obviously just said more of the same while the Laois team must have torn strips off the walls of the dressing rooms. As you hear all to often in the media but now it is very true, every game is a cup game from here on in.

Urizen I agree with your points mainly. Up to everyone to stand up and be counted now. Lets anticipate a good display from the lads for 70 plus minutes.
We just want the best for Meath football. Perhaps we may even not allow club or individual loyalty cloud our judgement on certain payers. It all down to what happens on the day.

Yeah there seems to be a alot of club things creeping in again, something that leaves a bad taste , i don't give a hoot where a lad is from.

No i fully agree, there are players out there I believe could still do a job for Meath but what we have now is what will promote, relegate or keep us. Micko has a tendency to add players after the league. I couldn't give a hoot where a player is from, if he's good enough, he should be there. i would prefer to see Meath kicking points rather than trying to walk the ball into the full forward line every time. Graham Reilly is a great man for this but out from him there seems to be few that will kick (accurately) from 40 yards out.

Hi everyone! Can anyone please verify if Sunday's match is at 3.00pm? That's what it says on the main GAA website but there's nothing on the Meath GAA site. I've read somewhere else that it's a 2.00pm throw-in. I also notice from this site that the supporters bus leaves Navan at 10.30am which would be very early and allow plenty of time in the pub beforehand! Can anyone throw some light on this as I'm all confused! If it is a 3.00pm start then it's the only throw-in at that time anywhere on Sunday.

That's what I'd like to see.

P.O'Rourke;
Keoghan, McGill, D.Tobin
Judge, Menton, Burke;
Flanagan/Rooney
Harnan G.Reilly, E.Wallace;
S.Tobin, S.Bray, Newman.

Would like to see Sean Tobin getting a chance, think he's a very good player.
