Not sure I would say any of the Ash lads are the best players on the team and I am from Ashbourne..

I like the look of these players..

Ronan Jones (Dunboyne)
Kevin Ryan (Summerhill)
Conor Nash (Simonstown)
Podge McGowen (Slane)
Thomas O'Reilly (Wolfe Tones)

I see the Meath Minor management team all kitted out in their club gear. At what stage to the county board need to wake up and start kitting out our underage players and managers properly. In today's environment, competing with Rugby & Soccer, this is not a good advertisement for our game.

Won well today. Tipperary very defensive even when chasing game. Ref very fussy - Nash sending off was a joke

What do people think of this. Our county minor squad trained very hard by all accounts on last thursday night. This was despite the fact that there was a full round of minor league pencilled in for Friday /saturday. They then trained again on Saturday morning again a very physical session. The majority had played the night before but 5 of them then had to play sat afternoon for their clubs. Would common sense not dictate that with a full round of minor league the county training could gor the weekend have taken a break ? We hear a lot about burnout and player welfare but is it all just lip service

Ya I agree with you,but this is a problem in the game in general rather than a Meath problem.

I think the training should be done, Minor league isnt a big addition anyway, if they want to be on a county minor team the training should be done

What about the County Minors having to train Thursday night and saturday morning, 2 very tough sessions by all accounts and this on a weekend when there was a full round of Minor club league. Some Players were training on Sat morning and then playing in the afternoon. All this when you hear about player welfare and burnout....

Hopefully a good crowd will travel to Parnell Park to support them on Sat. Pity that it could not be part of a double header with National league game v Laois. Maybe something that could be worked out for future home Nat. League games.

"Minor league isnt a big addition anyway" some statement. I suppose our A & B leagues are the same. Are you that ignorant that you don't understand that it is clubs who make the gaa and it is time that clubs stood up to the abuse of THEIR players

Hi Analyst . This is not a problem for the Meath Minor Management . The leinster minor Fix were made before the Club fix so why did the co board fix minor league games for friday nights . What was wrong with wed nights when most of the lads have half days from School .The management are doing a very good with a very good panel of players compare to other years some people are never happy when they see things are done right .

But the point is that their was no county minor fixture last weekend hence a full round of club. With all players getting games why the need for 2 tough training sessions 24 hours either side of matches......
