Could Dunderry be a team to keep an eye on?

Dunderry were impressive winners. They were well organised defensively and while they did not create as many scoring chances as you would have expected, they had almost complete control of the ball. They played Carty at full-forward and surprisingly he stayed inside. Ballivor were poor ... after some bluster in the opening 5 minutes they fell away badly and never really featured after they had a man sent off mid way through the first half. Whether Dunderry can win close games with the better teams in the division will determine whether they win the championship or not, but their organisation was very impressive.

Michael Newman was the real difference between Kilmainham and the Ash second string,BUT he missed 4 frees..

Very hard to see any team beating Ratoath after the weekend,5 county players & bobby o brien at this level is just too strong it proved last Sunday.

ratoath were clinical but not overly impressive, trim surprised me and did but it up to ratoath for large portions of the game james toghers point taking was impressive ratoath didnt look overly strong in the middle of the pitch but booby o brien will be the difference for them

Being from trim I've noticed that there footballing problem is ongoing with underage also, there u16 footballer's pulled the bare 15 and were well bet by Drumconrath/Meath Hill last week. In contrast to the hurlers who are untouchable atm in there group with at least 20+ players weekly. Strange especially given the size of the town.

The Cilles showing a good strong performance against last years finalists, could be one to watch out for this year??
Are they still overly reliant on Biggy tho??

Ratoath again startong off flying, could have been an even bigger margin only for some bad refereeing and excellent free taking from Toher.

Nobber getting a decent result against an in form Michaels team aswell.

Again looks like Ratoath the team to beat but sure that seems to be the story every year!! Maybe this year with the 5 lads in with the seniors it wil give them that extra bit of steel to finally push over the line??

Vert poor on Intermediate only 4 out of 8 for me, but the ones I got right where tough calls, Bracks losing espically as 2nd season syndrome has landed big time, Still I expect them to pick it up at the weekend.

lURCH Word is we will play both to help the County Board out thats the kinda lads we are and anyway we well fit for it.........

Went to see Bracks and Cilles in Skyrne on Friday night , was v impressed with Cilles . . Reilly barring injury could win this Championship on his own,Cilles underage work seems to be paying off aswell They seems strong all over the field , Bracks seemed to be lacking a bit of intensity but Id say they are keeping their powder dry.

Was a bit late getting into see the Ratoath game as the match was moved but we seemed to get the goals at just the right time
Was an even enough game but the goals knocked the stuffing out of Trim.

Would of fancied Michaels to do a job aswell so surprised to see the nobber result

Rathcairn you're right, and it is a team with real potential, however many of these young lads simply lose interest or have been taken away by soccer. There is work being put in at underage but there seems to be no significant improvement
