Ratoath Royal

He is clearly trolling.

First of All commiserations to Nobber, Never got going at all on the day , has happened to us a few times in Finals and its not a nice place to be , Nothing worked for them but don't judge them by this performance , they will be back stronger next year

Now to our lads, great result . . If our finishing had of been a bit better and the keeper didn't have the game of his life it would of been a bigger margin, Great Performances throughout the team from 1-15 . . Ciano was outstanding in the middle of the Park
McGill never gave Farrell a sniff and the Forwards were great and backs were fantastic quelling the previous Nobber forwards . Great day to be a Ratoath man

NMM is obviously from an area where no development work happened for want of someone who would get off his backside. Their potentially great players are consequently not equipped for the Modern game.

Those who can't accept these facts are continuously blaming the County Manager for not picking their players. Very hard to point the finger of blame at yourself.

NNM never has a valid argument for his odd comments. Not having E.Wallace on the Meath panel is quite funny. :)

I'm irrationally irritated by Hoganstand calling Ratoath a "Dublin border outfit" in the team of the week article. For fecks sake, Dunboyne and Curraha were playing at the weekend and they're closer to the border than Ratoath.

I understand Ratoath Royal,we get it too in Ashbourne, look its county Meath at the end of the day, doesn't make anywhere less Meath so to so to speak..

Good man Zigzy / Rath Togh. You remembered you're really an Ashbourne man, well done. Hope you are recovering from all the celebrating over with your Ratoath neighbours. Over 3500 posts(good posts at that mind you) but most of them about either Meath or Ratoath, not too many about your beloved Don / Ash. You have to keep your Guard up all the same...

That is absolutely terrible...but spare a thought or even a little prayer for the people of Meath hill...you could have a scenario were if you read a report here about Meath Hill "Monaghan border outfit" and then the next week "Louth border outfit" and the very worst of all the "Cavan border outfit" ..god love them

Ratoath beat St. Pat's Donabate 2-12 to 11 points in the first round of the Leinster IFC without Conor McGill and both Wallaces. Donabate ended with 13 men and to be honest they could have had a few more sent off as they seemed more intent on leaving their mark on Ratoath players than on the game.
Ratoath will play Railyard of Kilkenny in the quarter final.

Where the lads injured?

McGill was still struggling with the injury that forced him off in the Nobber game. The two Wallaces were on holidays and will be back for the quarter final.

Really think if Ratoath want, they can certain win a Leinster and maybe even an All-Ireland! Think of Ballinloughs heroics last year and no disrespect to Ballinlough but they hadn't have the quality of squad Ratoath have...

The two Wallaces were in Amsterdam for the weekend according to the Meath Chronicle Twitter feed. Congrats to Ratoath on the victory and with the next game agaisnt the Kilkenny Champions, who I presume are their Senior reps they've a great opportunity to go far in the competition and I hope they do. Meath football could do with them bringing some glory to the county.
