If O'Dowd went he would be my choice, but yeah I hope Mick succeeds in his goals.

Yes, lets hope things work out under MOD. GG might be the GAA version of Roy Keane. Careful what you wish for!

No Geraghty is far more approachable than Roy Keane, and he knows what he is talking about..

He is also doing a decent job with a fairly poor Duleek squad

Yeah ziggu, always approachable especially for the kids, and while i know very little about dulleek, from what ive heard they punching way above their weight considering the players they have.
But certainly worth a look at when the position comes up, but as i said i hope that's not for a while and mod can prove we haven't wasted 3 years with the wrong man. I think and hope he will prove that.
Total faith this Sunday is the turning point.

Lets stick with MOD for now anyway. I understand that training has gone very well in last couple of weeks, and that key areas of need have been given attention
That is some grounds for optimism that we may have turned the corner at this point. I believe that coming from an all time low level of team preparation last year we could only go in one direction anyway..improved preparation. I do trust that MOD has upped his game, and we will now see a game plan. We dont need to be told again that talent pool in low at present, but it is still good enough to get promotion...no excuses .If MOD thought otherwise he would not still be manager. I wish him and the team the best of luck from here in what i really believe will be a new dawn in Meath football next Sunday. Meath to win with a bit to spare!!

Training can be going well, but a match is a very different story.

A one year tenure of Sean boylan with Anthony Moyle's would be good.Anthony to take over in year 2

ZIGGY There is training....and then there is training with a purpose i.e. to fill clearly identified needs. I think in that case we will move forward. Of course nerves come into play with inexperienced players especially where expectations are heightened. So no it is not an exact science. However a big improvement on last year is a realistic expectation as a team. We must also remember that Roscommon have a lot of youth and inexperience also. Dont think there is a ready made
Meath manager in waiting if MOD departs. Something tells me that wont be necessary anyway, and that is coming from me one of his biggest critics last year!! There is only one way to go from last year!!

Maybe Sean should be asked to come in as a advisor this year? . Did very well in that role with dcu

Best of luck to the lads, should be a good game. Am a bit perplexed with some of the positions and can't see them lining out that way. Anywho, here's to a good performance and reseult!

Will always give the benefit of the doubt to selectors because they are better placed. Harnan no 11 worth a try. Mickey Bourke no 4 ???? on the team yes definately ! We need a tight marking defender there i think. More importantly a TEAM with a positive attitude would be very very welcome.
