Meath v Dublin O'Byrne Semi Final Sunday 18th @2PM

One important aspect for Sunday is how MoD manages the game from the side-lines. As for meeting Dublin in Leinster Final, wouldn't be counting them chickens yet.

im glad to see stephen bray back for this game he is still one of our best players and will cause dublin problems although it is only a byrne cup game its always good to beat dublin in any competition and i hope we can do it tomorrow good to see jamie queeney starting too he has been playing well for his club last couple of years and he was very impressive against longford good to see him back he got a vital goal few years back against dublin in the byrne cup which was a very entertaining game and a huge crowd that day in navan was good to see it was the biggest crowd i ever seen at an o byrne cup game that we played in hopefully we get another big crowd tomorrow and support the lads and come out with a win

If graham Reilly can continue his run of form then i think we have a great chance.

Big disappointed that Menton is not playing at midfield to be honest

Probably a sign that he wont be there come league ziggy.
I think mod is seeing which one of Rooney or Flanagan will partner Gillespie.
Anyone know if both Gillespie and e Wallace on subs for tomorrow??? Heard they might be during the week .

Micko said that Gillespie will miss the first few games of the league,so we need someone like Menton in there with either Flanagan or Rooney.Seems like Menton is playing musical chairs again. He made a big difference in midfield against DCU for example and has the mobility.

Id agree with you but its obvious that mod feels he can be used elsewhere. Pity.

A praiseworthy comeback and exciting finish. Pity about those missed frees and the lack of composure when we had them on the backfoot.

The fight and spirit showed was particularly encouraging. A lot of players really stepped up. I said before that I didn't think Rooney and Flanagan could be in the same midfield, but I thought they played very well, Rooney especially. As mentioned, there was a lack of composure at times leading to poor decision making and bad finishing. I don't think Queeney and Tobin in the FF line are up to it. Judge and O'Dowd need time to develop physically. I think Donncha Tobin should be in the half back line with Keogan corner back. McConnell was again very impressive upon his introduction.

Well that's the OBC done and dusted. A lot of messing around from Meath today. Wasted chances and silly carry on with giving the ball away on numerous occasions. I was impressed with paddy today and nice to see Newman coming on and getting involved. Nice to see a good fight in the lads towards the end and it could of went either way when we finally leveled up but Dublin took their chances and finished off with a win. Some good to take from this game into our first league game! An Mhi Abu
