Probably the barometer of Leinster football, Offaly is like a lot of counties where only 3 teams have a realistic chance of winning championship every year, in the majority of cases it is pretty much the same clubs in county finals the majority of the time cowardlyasafox (Meath) - Posts: 209 - 11/11/2014 14:21:51 1671428 Link 0 |
I actually agree with northmeathman o Mahonys have under achieved in the last few years and seem to have an excuse every year when beaten..as for rhode they have a very good proud club tratition both in there county and Leinster club have always been a strong club outfit.. Just reading this tread now. Think its a sad day to see people taking up a 9 point loss by the Meath champions versus the Offaly champions. Talking up the performance because they were close with five to go suggests everyone expected them to lose anyway. That unfortunately is the real truth of Meath club and county football at the moment so stop trying to take some morale victory out of what was the first round of the Leinster club championship.
