browncows, I just heard that the conditions were pretty atrocious.

was it that there were a lot of wides/good defending or is it just easier to say that neither team had any quality

Ratoath have to be favourites to do 2 on a row. Moynalvey will test them but Brian Harnan a big loss.
Trim to win the A
Clan NA Gael to take the B
Moynalty to win C pulling up

The Great Glenny has 3 out of 3 as predicted as above... plain sailing now as Rathaoth to amble home

Very foolish to right off any omahonys team in a final these lads are an outstanding group of players and will ensure the hoops stay the kingpins of meath football. All the best in the final lads.COME ON THE HOOPS

when is the ratoath vs NOM final?

Ratoath probably favourites, however many of this Navan team were part of the Senior Championship winning panel. Could be a deciding factor?

Very few were actually part of the panel, think 1 starter...Ratoath won't want to come into this complacent because NOM will be up for it!just think that the quality of Ratoaths forwards will prove decisive, NOM too reliant on Collins!

Ratoath wont take any team lightly , like they didnt take Moynalvey or Dunboyne lightly
After NOM shocked us in that 2010 minor final ,I can assure you this bunch of players wont take NOM lightly
Will be a tight affair I think but im hoping we can edge it

Here we go tonight is almost as importnt for the Great Glenny as the teams as I am looking for a Quadruple of correct predictions in the U21..... I have no doubt Rathoath will not let me down.

So Glenny gets it right again :)

I heard Bryan McMahon was outstanding last night?

McMahon was fantastic. He tore NOM to shreds in the first half. He had less of an influence in the second but still scored 4 points. Bobby O'Brien was also very impressive and seemed much calmer than previous games. If he can keep his cool in games, he could be a great player for Meath.
Horrible to see Darragh Kelly go off with what looked like another serious knee injury just three minutes into his first appearance since recovering from his last one.

As for the game itself, it was a poor enough affair. NOM were atrocious in the first half with basic skills deserting them. Ratoath weren't much better for the third quarter when they let O'Mahony's back into it before upping the tempo again in the final 10 minutes to see the game out. Congratulations to the team. 2 in a row and hopefully we can go for three next year.

I thought the match was not of a high standard with the passing poor even when under no pressure. NOM missed 3 open goal chances in the first half while Rathoath were the better team but looked very shaky when put under a little bit of pressure. The did not score for the first 20 mins of the second half (just like NOM in first half). McMahon did well the first half and is a good player (scored 3 points form play). However, when marker was changed for second half he did little. The score at half time was 1-6 to 0-3 while at the end it was 1-13 t0 1-8
