Best Young Talents NOT In The Current Senior Squad

Cian Ward scored 1-9 against Dunboyne however at 28 he is surplus to requirements. .

When I see players tearing up in our county championship and they are not on the senior panel it asks serious questions.

Someone justify not having Cian Ward in a 30 man panel.

Cian Ward has always had performances like that.Have some people not watched him play for Meath over the years?? Has one great game and about 5 terrible games.

I would agree David Raliegh from Ballivor would be worth trying.
Think he's 23, he's been very consistent for ballivor the last few years.
Plenty of fight in him, great man marker and has pace to burn. Big step
up from intermediate to senior inter county but I'd be confident he could do a job
at corner back.

Fergal Lynch form The Chronicle tweeted after the game "Just the 1-9 for @wardcian tonight. .he's certainly putting his hand up isn't he..can he get back into meath reckoning".

Cian Ward's reply was interesting " @truefergallynch fergal its grand tho there was a lad warming up from Dunboyne he was v fast but cudnt solo the ball. Some1 was impressed!"

Ward is absolutely spot on and I was delighted that he finally hit out at managements outrageous and simply unforgiveable decisions.

The decision to bring on the players they brought on in the last ten minutes against Armagh (we know who they are and im not naming them) while the likes of Ward sat in the stand is a sackable offence. They simply should be removed for such incompetence and a management team should be installed that 1) actually wants to win rather than treat the county team like some sort of bizarre experiment 2) has a coherent tactics and strategy and 3) can actually get a team fit.

Talking with the chairman of a prominent senior club over the weekend, MOD and his crew might well be fortuntate to still be in charge next year. I certainly hope that they are not. And you can read my posts over the past year. I have not been one bit impressed with their management since taking over so my opinion is in no way reactionary.

Fergus Toolan - former meath minor captain from dunshaughlin scored 1-4 v walterstown.
seems to be excelling in the forward line, as he was always used in half back line on underage meath teams as far as I can remember.

YOU can bring who you like into the Meath panel but until we start playing to some sort of system and improve the overall strength and fitness of the team there will be no improvement .

Well said.
And huge respect to wardy for pointing out what anyone can see.
Let's hope the clubs have the courage to do the right thing for meath football.

Judge is 21/22 I think. Lots of bracks and in fairness lots of others are raving about him. Only seen him last game, very composed young lad and while its only one game if that's how he plays regularly then I think he is certainly worth a try out.

He's 23. Certainly worth a try. Very competent defender, certainly would add to Meath panel.
