RR and Royalz .... are you the same person? seems like I have just read one very long winded rant about ashbourne hurling and its pre-season.

Whose everyone's favourites after round 4 lads? A few big wins in both groups. Are Ratoath the real deal or will they choke as usual? What about Dunderry with a good win against Kilsyre? Kells back on track after beating C na G. Thoughts?

Whose everyones favourite after Round 4? Are Ratoath the real deal or will they bottle it as usual? Dunderry seem to be getting a bit of momentum going after a good win against Kilskyre. Kells back on track after a good win against C na G. Thoughts everyone?

It will be Drumree Wolfe Tones final, with a Drumree win. They have been the most impressive team so far. Ratoath are winning at moment but they will fall at knock out stage. Good to see them doing well, this years run will improve them for next year.

Ratoath will either get kells or dunderry in the semi final, so wolftones and drumree can only face eachother in the semi final, ratoath capable of beating either of them kells or dunderry with a full team which my the looks of it they still have to put out!! So could easily be a final or the local teams!! I'd like to see a drumree v ratoath final, but drumree to win it, will do ratoath no harm either!!

Semi-finals look like ratoath vs winners of kells or dunderry and drumree vs the winners of kilskyre or wolfe tones.final pairings I think wil b dunderry vs drumree.

Whose everyone's favourite after last round of championship? Good win for Kells, word is they've got a good few players back from the States.

Does anyone when the quarter finals are fixed for?

Drumree to win it outright. Some quality performances from them this year so far.

standard is absolutely terrible in my opinion.
why have the county board not took 2 senior teams and brought them down to intermediate.. it would make the intermediate more competitive..
rathmolyan navan na fianna and blackhall would struggle against drumree and wolfe tones and even ratoath who are progressing. and whats the point in them getting hammered by kiltalke dunboyne Kildalkey trim and kilmessan? longwood killyon are competitive and boardsmill are a small bit behind those two teams, but are comparatively competitive compared to weaker senior clubs.
10 teams in senior champ would make for better games and no terribly one sided games that are no benefit to anyone.
why hasn't this been done? its a no brainer as far as I can see?

Overthehill72- I would agree with your post. 10 team senior championship would be better and improve intermediate and Junior. But your comment saying "why hasn't the CB already done this?", to do this delegates would have to vote and can you see Delegates from NOM, Na Fianna, BHG, Rathmolyon etc.. All putting up their hands saying "yes, please relegate us". Not in a million yrs even tho it would be the right thing to do. CB hands are tied on this one.

Any word on the Kilakyre Tones qf in Trim. Wasn't able to make it and keen to see who won.

Didn't see that coming. Who deserved it. Thought the tones would have beaten them and were favourites to win it outright

dunderry v drumree final by the looks of things.

To be honest, both teams that were knocked out in q-finals I thought would go straight to the final, however my knowledge of meath hurling has once again let me down.

Just chatting to a fellow club man today and the question than came up is what has happened to Wolfe Tones. They don't appear to be missing players but yet have had a bad year. Poor league and losing at qf stage to Kilskyre is a surprise. They have beaten us year after year in both league and cship so know how good they are. Just very surprised as I was very worried about them this year.
