Can the Dubs be stopped this year?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

IMO only 4 teams in the country actually believe that they can beat Dublin on a day. They are
Kerry
Tyrone
Donegal and
Meath
it will be very hard to beat them but maybe with a bit of luck and maybe the hype might get to a few of the Dublin players and who knows!!
the mentioned teams are the only ones who in that dressing room before the game will actually believe they can win..unlike the likes of
Kildare and Mayo who despite all their macho talk will collapse as soon as they see the blue jersey!

If they are to be caught this year it will be in Leinster,Winning Leinster again will not mean a whole lot to the Dubs and a loss here and they are still in All-Ireland series. So hopefully it will be us. Only other teams who may put it up to them are Cork and Mayo. Cork still have quite a few players to come in.

History has proven that the more they are hyped up, the more likely they will falter....I wouldn't back them at evens

Will Cillian O'Sullivan be fit for Meaths Leinster campaign , you'll need him if you're to beat the Dubs !!!

We are probably the only team in Leinster that can stop them. The way we are going though with our u21s nearly beating them and our minors already doing so this year these young lads know what it takes to do it. I think that if we play as good as we can and when we do we play very well, we can put it up to them.

We have a decent chance of putting one over them, provided we get to the Leinster final. Never mind about the Dubs and just concentrate on our own panel. Ask the question again in July in the week of the Leinster final if we're involved.

Blind Ref - I would add Monaghan to the list of possibles to beat the Dubs - BUT for any team to do this, fitness and a full bench is required

In fairness Mayo have beaten Dublin in the last couple of years and Cork have immense quality so either of them could beat Dublin, but it would only be if Dublin's focus level drops. But if Jim Gavin has the players in the correct mental state, they are practically unstoppable. They have no weaknesses.

Kerry, Mayo, Monaghan or Donegal would all give the dubs a run.
