Intermediate championship 2014

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Having seen Ratoath they should win IFC this year. Will there be a surprise finalist like Clann na nGael last year? Hearing good vibes about Ballivor lately, they have the Kildalkey hurling manager over them and when he's around his teams do well.

Just seen Ballivor beat Ratoath this evening, and the Micks lost 2 from 2. This shows how wide open this championship is, as usual.

Was at the ballivor ratoath game and ballivor completed dominated they kicked 22 wides but made ratoath look very very ordinary and with ballivor missing 4 players ballivor at 25-1 to win the championship at the beginning look like massive odds now

Theres no one exceptional side in intermediate, Ratoath showed that today. They were very average today.

Does anyone know if ratoath were missing players with the exception of Eamonn wal,?what a result for ballivor must be a contender now...

My previous post was accurate so. Ballivor are contenders! Ballivor kicked a lot of wides but showed their composure and experience coming from behind to win. Ballivor were also missing two of their top players so I was told at the game.

Great result for Ballivor,I don't know much about them, have they got any players capable of making the county panel, because Ratoath sure do!

I told you ratoath would be bet!!! Most over rated team ive ever seen, dont seem to listen to simple instructions given to them by management at all!!!

If anything ratoath will get weaker after this result as they are losing a lot of there starting 15 to J1's for the summer. They are already looking towards next years intermediate championship with all there players back and a new manager.

People don't seem to realise if there was no hurling in the squad of ballivor they'd probably be a decent senior team

Ballivor looked very dangerous the other night , completely dominated possesion and should have won by a landslide
Made a mockery of whoever put up these odds , 11 for Ballivor has a super game and Martin Doran also , With the lads heading off
on the J1 it looks like things are going to get a lot tougher for us in the next few games so hopefully Meath do well in the championship!!

No point in producing excuses about guys going away. Sure hasn't the county particularly the north meath clubs been ravaged by emigration over the last 5 years. Easy looking for excuses.

Adamski, in fairness losing 7 lads from the starting 15 isnt really "looking for an excuse" its being handed one on a plate!!! any team that get dealt a blow like that at the one time is going to suffer and not hit heights expected of them!!! However they had all their players bar the odd injury against Ballivor and were muck. Alot of ego's and individuals on the team, not enough team spirit!!!
