The bracks looked very well last day and while all on here proclaimed a walk in the park for balivor. Actually bracks looked like they didn't get out of 3rd gear. Rathoath could be in for a big wake up.

I'm glad to hear that thelutch. In fairness I was thinking of how bad it was in 80s when I made my point, but I feel juicy could have filled a important role in HB line or even midfield this year, but I presume age is catching up with him at this stage, yeah I think Jamie queeney has made the strongest point this year at the management selection fiasco and I trust mod will rectify that. As for Nicky I totally agree he must be given his chance in senior jersey, a great prospect.
Thelutch are you confident of a win the next day??.

Seasideblues. At this stage I honestly don't know. Every year I think yes this is the year, but they always come up short.

Royaldunne "Tell me why is Flanagan the first player from Clonard to ever play for any Meath senior team,"
This is not true, David Connolly from the Clonard club played for Meath in the 1972 Leinster Senior Football Championship. Got a fair lot of abuse from the Offaly fullback line at the time too. Just putting the record straight.

Two interesting matches at the weekend, I think Ratoath will benefit from the tough match against Syddan and can see their pace and fitness being too much for the 'Bracks. Its very hard to call the other match, Ballinlough have also come through a couple of tough matches in last few weeks against Syddan and Dunderry, these matches will bring them on a lot as well. Castletown have been playing well too so tight match in prospect, I note that Coldrick is referee which may work a bit against Ballinlough as they have been very physical in recent matches and may not get away with some of their tactics on Saturday evening so Castletown may just shade a close match

What is the Rathoath v Bracky game on Sunday at 6 .... how come it not on Sat as double instead of Relegation game...Seems a bit mad to me that people can watch All Ireland in peace and why is it in Trim very unfair

reading the reports in the chronicle, it seem like Ballinlough have a clear tactic that's akin to the Donegal/Tyrone teams in terms of swarm defence and then counter attacks. Whats more they haven't lost a game in 3 months... They are definitely worth a punt if you ask me! They are never gonna score a lot, but I think its more important to not concede a lot. It would some achievement for them to win it, as they were nowhere to be seen last year!

A poem to stir the hearts of all Castletown as we head for the Showgrounds.......up the daddies

The Ballinloughs came down the rails, each lad looked stern and grim
Determined for to win fresh fame for the ancient Lough Crew Hills
Devine, Byrne and Muldoon swore that they would never yield
They reckon they would win the day out upon the field
A Finer bunch of athletes could not come to the Loughs call
But Castletown brave Castletown your the Daddies of them all

Now Curtis cries "Look out my boys, I know we will not dock
and ere the sun goes down today we'll beat ole Ballinlough
See flying Joey Carry as he rushes down the line
Sure you'll not get his equal either north or south the Boyne
And dashing Kevin Ross he never missed a ball
Oh Castletown, brave Castletown. you're the Daddies of them all.

Turning out to be the year of the green & golds.

Bracks & castletown to make it to Final ?

Although i fancy Ballinlough to take care of the bridesmaids of Meath(the so called daddies).

Bracks to keep marching on against the odds.

BRACKS V BALLINLOUGH FOR ME ON OCTOBER 4TH.

Castletown v Ballinlough: It's familiar territory for Castletown as for the third successive season they've reached the semi finals. However, they were beaten by the eventual winners Na Fianna (2012) and Gaeil Colmcille (2013). A good omen for Ballinlough or will it be third time lucky for the Daddies? It's a toss of a coin. Verdict: Draw

Ballinabrackey v Ratoath: Ballinabrackey were impressive versus Ballivor but so too were Ratoath when the chips were down against Syddan. The addition of Joey Wallace and Frank Coyne inside could prove vital. The midfield duel between O'Brien and Carroll will be one to watch. Verdict: Ratoath

Carnaross v Kilmainham: Carnaross are going backwards very quickly, Murphy and McGee have been tremendous servants for them but they won't do the trick this time. Newman's scores will be the difference. Verdict: Kilmainham
