That's true, the first incident seemed to be a point from where I was standing. Having seen the final I can agree with what most people on this thread have claimed, that the junior grade is very poor. The loss of the two best teams in the last few years has resulted in this.
Cortown showed good fight in coming back, but I fancy Dunboyne to win the next day.
Please god let the replay be better than today. Some of the wides were atrocious.

Replay will be before the senior final. It was an exciting match and because of the situation both teams were in, a lot of mistakes were made but hopefully replay will be better. Regarding the points Dunboyne got, the 14 yard free that was signal wide was actually a point, and it wasn't the only one signal wide that was over. Cortown fought well to come back from 3 down in last few minutes to draw. The two sendings off were controversial, the first was a very bad high tackle but player got a (2nd)yellow for it and the Dunboyne one was a straight red, a high tackle but not a red by any means, especially when they were up 3 points with 5 mins to go, don't think his intention was to get a red, just stopping player going forward, so hopefully that red will be over turned as cortown player can play in the replay while Dunboyne got a straight red. It'll be an exciting curtain raiser to the senior.

Many of the wides were from unrealistic positions from Junior footballers.

Seen on the main page it says Michael Dunne was red carded. But I saw a black card issued and a replacement come on!

As far as I could see anyway, the Dunboyne player was given a straight red card, which I thought was very harsh. How the ref could have given that as a red and the Cortown player a yellow for his tackle. Was an entertaining game and Cortown done well to fight back at the end. I can see Dunboyne winning the replay.

Well if indeed it was a straight red, then yes,it was very harsh.

Dunboyne player was given a straight red and was not replaced. be interesting to see what referee puts it down for in the report as I thought was very harsh. both "wides" looked over from where we were aswell

If the Dunboyne man is suspended for the replay that must surely make Cortown favourites again

Now for the replay both sending off are recinded so both teams start from scratch again. I went with Dunboyne the 1st day and there is a history of team been out in front getting caught and then winning the 2nd day but then again they also say if you dont take your chance the 1st day it maybe lost. Anyway Dunboyne for Me

After watching the first game,I will also go with Dunboyne.I thought in general Dunboyne had more composure,Cortown lacked that a little at times.

Just a quick question for Dunboyne people, Yesterday during the game we wondered if Nigel Crawford is still playing football? I cant recall seeing him in the Senior team the last few years either.. Or did he transfer to a Dublin club?
