Replying To royaldunne:  "Where is the link to harnans announcement. And who are the others ??"
Harnan is definitely gone, I heard it was because of work not the McEntee's though. Think Ronan Jones is also gone and I also heard rumours that a former captain (should be easy enough to work out) will be leaving the panel to travel.

Janey a few years ago anyone that sneezed it was Micko's fault they left the panel. Now it seems the "reports" are there are lots of drop outs of course none is due to McEntees....... Fact is lads have lives to live and can do as they like.... Can it be seen as a lack of commitment in this day and age I dont think so. The expectation on commitment is massive, the expectation on success is minimal. Can it be seen as lack of ambition due to the Dublin factor ....Maybe.... But at the end of the day can it be seen as one of the reasons Meath are now well done the pecking order....Yes.... The players arent there to start and the few that are appear to be going away

That must be exactly it maestro hard to beleive its u21, minor and international rules threads dominating a few days before the county final! But the 2 best teams by far are in the final hopefully its a good game!

Cant wait for this game to be honest, have seen both quite a bit this year, by far the bext 2 teams in the county, Simonstown have not fully fired for an entire 60 mins yet but if they do they will win, Summerhill will not fear winning unlike Dun/Ash last year and are never beaten, good blend of youth and experience, will take beating. 2 teams who play good football, should be a cracker... Simonstown by 4

This final has all the ingredients for great match. I believe that Simonstown will narrowly prevail. Matured greatly in the past 12 months.

Its probably asking too much for the final to be of the standard of the previous classics of 1966, 1989, 2009 and 2010.

Or indeed the stratospheric decider of 1975.

Simonstown for me are the better team all round with good options off the bench also but Summerhil are hard hittng wth plenty of scoring threats and I just think they will win it

Best of luck to both teams tomorrow. It has been a very interesting championship so far with many competitive matches and close encounters.

Well done to simonstown on their second championship win.

For a perfect day for football the standard on display in our county final was awful.

Couldn't make PT today but congratulations to Simonstown and particularly Ratoath, great wins for both clubs. By what I hear the senior Final was somewhat disappointing fare not that Simonstown will care one bit, I hope they can put a good run in Leinster now and give the whole county a lift

Well done Simonstown by far the better side without hitting top gear.
O'Rourke on another level to anyone on the field.
The standard of the finishing was dreadful throughout, and don't see any county players from Summerhill

Awful game but congratulations to Simonstown. The pitch looked incredibly slippy in both games today. Countless instances of players losing their footing. Very surprising given that it's been relatively dry over the last week.
McKeever 100% deserved the MOTM award and hopefully, for Meath's sake, he can commit to the county side in 2018. Was worried at how poor Conlon was for Simonstown but it wasn't til after the game I heard he was sick during the week.
Hard luck to Summerhill. Never went right for them. They kicked an awful amount of wides and the missed goal in the first half was a massive turning point.
Simonstown have a decent enough draw in Leinster with the Wexford champions up first so you'd hope that they can get a run going.

Can't help but think what might have been for Meath's midfield looking at O'Rourke and Nash for Simonstown and Gillespie on the sidelines for Summerhill.

Well done Simonstown, deserved winners and they are the best team in Meath. Not too many tipped them at the start of the year.
It was a very poor final, some of the free taking was atrocious. I always felt Simonstown had an extra gear if required
