Meath v Donegal

Replying To Lockjaw:  "Getting near now lads. Ideally I would love to see us winning ball around the middle and raining balls into Murphy at the edge of your square but that's a fanciful notion. Up here, we really have no idea what kind of performance to expect. Anything like we've seen in the last two games will lead to a Meath win. But the eternal optimist in me is hoping that we can deliver a performance that I know our players are capable of. If we can get Ryan McHugh knifing through your defensive lines it'd be a good start! Anyways, enjoy the game and may the best team win."
Lockjaw.......listening to our own Bernard Flynn on your Highland radio he thinks both teams are in a similar position. He says first 15 mins will be a good indicator. Our last few games our lads were very fearful of making mistakes. If we can shake off that we can give it a right good go .Michael M is a big problem for us but he is not the only one..We have to rise to this challenge to get a good reading of where we are at.Same for Donegal That's the awkward bit.May the better win !

Really looking forward to this now, I'm going to get on the road early don't want to stuck in a convoy of Donegal boys heading down the N3 :-). I honestly don't know what's going to happen in this game and won't know until the ball is thrown in, there is an air of unpredictability about both teams with lots of questions and so far very few answers given by either team in the championship, could easily be a game that throws a few curveballs and surprises at us but one thing for sure is that we are going to have a big crowd and a buzzing atmosphere in Navan so I hope the game matches up to that. Interestingly I see Donegal are wearing white tomorrow, according to Michael Murphy Sports facebook page, Don't know if we are changing but if we do and wear gold it could be awkward on the eyes if its a fine evening but hopefully we will remain in green and hopefully by this time tomorrow we will be heading for celebratory pints and not sorrowful ones. Safe travels to all my other N3 users in the hills of Donegal and don't be shocked when you see a man in a Meath top driving a DL car :-)

Not sure but I think he got injured against Rathkenny and didn't play against the Tones when even O'Reilly came on as a sub. Hasn't even made the match day panel since the early rounds of the league if I can remember correctly.

Wasn't confident at all during the week but as it draws closer I am quietly confident, a lot will need to have been improved on in the week and I'm not sure whether so much could be improved on in such a short amount of time. It will be a low scoring game and probably a very poor game to watch but if we do win I won't care, it will mark that progress is being made.

Looking forward to it!

if this bunch of players can get a win against a team like donegal it may well be the making of them.confidence would surge.

what have Donegal done the last few matches. what are we talking them up and been afraid of them. go out and give them hell it's meath it's navan. they won the all-Ireland in 2012 with 14 men behind the ball. they won in 1992 the same day they booed the meath team off the park after us winning the all-Ireland. we are not afraid of these play them beat them let the drive back home with there heads down

I'd say they said the same thing before the Kildare game...Why don't you just watch the game tommorow and leave out these silly pointless comments !
