Replying To Blackspot09:  "Also I know it's only kilkenny and I expect our lads to win and win well and I understand the Gaa are probably trying to promote football in kilkenny and give them a leg up on the footballing side of things but imo no team in an All Ireland semi final regardless if it's junior or senior should have home advantage. I still expect meath to win but that's my 2 cents worth. Should be neutral venue all the way"
Dublin get home advantage nearly all the time, kerry often up until munster final day too, tipperary as far as the all Ireland quarters get home advantage regularly aswell. It's no big deal.

Look we're gonna win I've no doubt about it and kilkenny is only an hour or so away but in my opinion all all Ireland semi finals should be neutral venue regardless of the grade or who's playing in them

Is the fixture going ahead? There was talk that Kilkenny might call it off

Anyone go to the juniors game today? Kilkenny managed to keep it tight until half time but Meath blew them away in the second half

I had a friend at it and he said Kilkenny should've been going in at half time winning. Missed two goal chances and hit seven wides. Meath upped it in the second half but Kilkenny still got through for goals. They lost there full back and centre back through injury and Meath were clinical in using the space. Heard the referee was poor.

That's the big one won handy final now v Kerry who can't play any of the team that won this Grade last year so really it's a Kerry junior B side. Can't see anything other than handy win

yeah meath manager said they were far too complacent in the first half. will be an interesting final against kerry who apparently were not that great in their semi either.

What a total disgrace that the Meath juniors don't have access to there full panel less than one week before there All Ireland Final because of hurling fixtures that wont be moved. Correct me if I am wrong but was there not a full round of football fixtures last August pulled at the last minute due to a U21 'B' All Ireland Final? And the CCC's excuse for not calling of the games was that the fixture schedule is to tight and they are under pressure to get games done! The Meath hurlers are out of the "Championship" since the 14th of May and the footballers are out since the 8th of July. Conor O'Donoghue has every right to be disgusted with this.

I would assume you don't like hurling then?

Not sure what the big deal is , very few of the starting 15 or panel for that matter play much hurling

Fixtures have been held up enough for the meath footballers as it is this year

Its more the fact they requested the fixtures off weeks ago and they have had to change there plans for the teams preparation this weekend.

7 players from his entire squad
how many of those will start?

its a second team all ireland
does anybody really care?

playing a kilkenny football team in the all ireland semi sums it up really

I don't we're in a position to be turning our noses up at All-Ireland titles, whatever the level...

Hilarious. Imagine if that was the attitude towards the u21 b hurling all Ireland final when a full round of football fixtures was cancelled because of it. "Ah sure it's only an u21 b all Ireland does anyone really care" ud have all the hurling heads with chips on shoulders on here going ballistic if those football fixtures hadn't have been pulled.

i am sure the players care.. a lot of these players will never play for the seniors and those that do may not win any silverware. to say "who cares" is poor. you are a meathman on a forum about meath, yet you don't care if they win?
