Replying To royaldunne:  "It was a complete sell out last year, people arriving with no tickets were left disappointed.
It is no place for a match. A absolute kip"
Royaldunne I actually don't mind Parnell Park. If Louth had a County Ground like it I would be happy. Louth have played there seven times since 2004. Their record is poor there. They only have won one match in it. In 2004 they played there three times and lost on all three occasions to Wexford in the Leinster Championship, Galway in the qualifiers and Clare in the Tommy Murphy Cup, in 2007 they drew with Wicklow, in 2009 they won their only match against Carlow only to be beaten by Laois a few weeks later and last year wee lost to your good selves. Hopefully wee can improve that dreadful Parnell record this year.

Replying To Ratoath Royal:  "Should be even more fun getting in to Parnell Park this time. Neither set of fans had much optimism going into the championship last year and I think PP was still three-quarters full. Should be a bigger crowd this time."
I doubt it's possible to get a bigger crowd than last year, if anything it was probably oversold since there were big crowds standing on the flat tarmac near the dressing rooms. If you weren't 6' 6''' then you didn't get to see the game from there!

Last year really got to me in Parnell. The poor people in the christening, the queuing, the attitude of the stewards. Lot of pushing and shoving just to get in, the parking and the long long delays in getting out. Turned me off the place entirely.

Where you in the clubhouse yourself last year Royaldunne? I was there myself. Some crowd in it.

Bob Louth have not beaten Meath in the Championship since 1975. Wee still have to play Wicklow first in the Championship. If the unthinkable did happen and Louth did beat Meath, there would not be cow milked in Drawda for a week. There is still a lot of football to be played between now and then. Anyway wee will take one game at a time. Lovely day for football. Looking forward to the trip to Croke Park today.

First off, hard luck today Ollie, my acum went with you been beat.
I am been honest I dont think Wicklow will pose much threat to this Louth team. I know anything can happen but i think its as near to certain that it will be Louth Meath in Parnell park as you can get. Anyways hard luck today. But promotion was the goal

Being realistic beating Louth and a good showing against Kildare is what I'm hoping for. As the league proved, Kildare are a very good side. I think they'll give the Dubs a game in the Leinster final.

The rest depends on the draw but since Pairc Tailteann is in such a state we can't rely on a home draw actually being played there.

I would be more optimistic that, Kildare only scrapped by Clare at home.

Ah fair play to you Bob. I enjoyed the weather yesterday. Its a pity about the Louth result. But these things happen.

Cheers Royaldunne. Louth have no complaints. The best team won. To concede 3-19 is a bit of a worry. Six weeks today is the Wicklow match. Royaldunne you were the only one that called Louth getting promoted. I could not see it myself. I would of been happy with just avoiding relegation. Anyway looking forward to hopefully a Battle of a Boyne match up on the June Bank Holiday and the Division Two clash next year.

I think we will reach the Leinster final. We will beat both Louth and Kildare in the Leinster championship. Mark it down.

I don't think too many would be surprised with that prediction.

Louth for me are the ones I worry more about than Kildare, they will have had a game already, as well as league final, Meath will only have played challenge matches , probably without the actual full team. Its tricky if we get over it I dont see Kildare posing too much of a threat, we all know the league game was a fluke, for me Kildare are no match for Meath this year. The worry is Louth.

I'd agree with you. From what I seen yesterday Kildare wouldn't worry me too much. Never like playing Louth they always perform against Meath but we should just shade it.

I wouldn't be so dismissive of Kildare. Having said that even though nothing went right for us in Navan and everything went right for Kildare. I even taught if we could get some pressure on them they might panic, we got back to around 5 at one stage , but they they got another goal and where never under any real pressure throughout the game. It will be a different game the next time. I think we will be ready. I think it was a bad decision not to play a strong team against Galway when they where promoted. I think it killed momentum leading into the final. 4 or 5 changes yes but not not 14. Kildare can up there performance for Meath too. if indeed it happens.
