Dublin spent millions on their teams from 1996-2010 - didn't even make a final. They undoubtedly spent over many rivals. Won nothing.
Money guarantees nothing. It helps but without the players it's not enough.
Galway a good example in 2018
Despite playing more games at Croke Park and all the natural advantages that brings Dublin were regularly beaten by better teams there because they weren't good enough from 1996-2010
Leinster final, Qtr finals, semi finals, finals always going to be played at HQ across this current run regardless.
So why wouldn't Dublin be winning titles in a row?
Now yes, they had some close calls and great battles in this run and were tested to the maximum.. but they were good enough to come through it.
If Dublin weren't good enough ie 2012, 2014 then they'd have lost.
Perhaps a couple games less in Leinster at HQ.. would it have stopped Dublin winning. Most unlikely.

Look pal even the most ardent of dub supporters will have to concede that dublin have so many advantages at all levels in all areas that it's a HUGE factor in their success if u want to cherry pick this point and that point to suit ur argument well I'm not going there with ya ......

I've watched this young kerry team and young donegal team and cork u20s hammering dubs and now in minor final suggests to me that dublin are going through a golden era like the kk hurlers a few years back looked like they be unbeatable for years to come but I feel if you look closer that is just eat it is a golden patch and I see teams catching up and overtaking in not too distant future ......other teams have had these era too let's not all lose the run of yourself completely

Look it's pretty simple yes money is a HUGE advantage you don't have to break it down in some scholarly way it's a fact ....as too is nearly every big game a home advantage with 60000 supporters cheering you on two steps and a leap from your own bed .......BUT would dublin still be champions anyway despite all this perhaps yes certainly be up there but going for 5 in a row not a hope

Dublin is a soccer city always was always will.be although the recent success of dub gaa has kids gravitating towards gaelic but this population stuff donesnt hold up ...I'm first to suggest that dub gaa has embarrassment of riches and advantages to population no really one of them here's why in dublin north side there are now officially more foreign nationals than local dubs who tend usually not play gaa bother north and south side soccer take huge proportion of players rugby basketball tennis u name it it's played there and they take from gaa ....fact is dub gaa community is quite small relative to population on top of that young players sometimes find it hard to break onto senior clubs because of a lot of migrant intercounty standard players taking their place .....now if u live in Kilkenny the population is quite small in comparison but kids there with few exceptions want to play hurling and hurling only or kerry for football and I belive that's a much bigger advantage when you have one county the whole county pulling in the one direction for one sport and the roll of honour reflects this point .......but hey dubs that not s free pass ye still got great advantages it's time people starting accepting that too

Look this discussion is getting old i think everything covered and more.......a very average kk team deservedly out worked a rusty superior hurling team in limerick ....tipp has two hands on cup again sheedy is a great man manager with an excellent team with lots of options off bench ........but as I've said earlier this new system cheapens the the mc carthy cup it's not championship when you can lose 3 games and still lift cup ...great for the coffers though !!!!!
