2-17 will win you a lot of games, unfortunately conceding 5-18 won't. Massive reality for the players management and us fans, we are not on the level of the Tyrone, Monaghan or Donegal let alone the likes of Kerry, Dublin and Mayo (I know they lost to Galway but they are still a top side) We will get eaten alive in Division 1 i'm afraid next season. And before everyone starts lambasting Terry and the backroom staff I think we need to accept that we just don't have the players that the top sides have, how many of ours would get into Dublin or Kerrys team? This must be the biggest score we have ever conceded at senior county level.... Tyrone are a serious outfit and may well be Dublins biggest obstacle later this year... We scored 5-24 in 2 game against them so their defence will cause them concern going foreword... We now head into another back-door waste of time game that serves no point...only to hold up club games... A serious wake up call today.. That was embarrassing ,the lads seemed clueless for large parts of the game . We managed a few scores at the end when Tyrone had made serveral subs . I stayed quite on this recently as the team was been put up on big heights word like top class and on fire been used . I had prayed i was wrong but by god they were a shambles today . Sean i wouldnt be as confident on the scoring a few of those scores were conceded after a lot of subs on for Tyrone .We seemed clueless for large part of game

And all the while, the club scene is dying a death with everything put on hold to produce that sort off a display. Cavan were 14 points down with 0.10 on the board. The last 2.7 scored was largely irrelevant.

With ten mins to go we had only scored ten points. Scoring 2.7 when the game was well and truly over shouldn't mask the absolute disgrace off a performance.

No disrespect to carlow but we will more than likely beat them next week and if so mark my words we will get a very tough match in following round and loose and that will be a very very poor championship campaign beating a poor armagh team drawing with a tyrone team that were no where near there best and couldnt take our chance that day then today and getting put out in next round, u could see today when givney got injured and they got them 2 goals there was no plan there has to be a change if we do go to far this year or get knocked out after the carlow game Dantheman_95 (Cavan) - Posts: 6 - 03/07/2016 20:15:01 1875592 Link 0 |

There's no point in slating players and management . Both have done their best and have come up short. ITS TIME for fresh management with fresh ideas because it's all gone stale . Still making the one elementary mistake of carrying the ball into the tackle. Terry has instilled great disipline and heart into the team but tactically he has come up short.
