Best of luck to the lads and Peter and co tonight. Massive game, the sort of game that makes you love following the GAA, this is what its all about. We've beaten two very good teams in Derry and Tyrone so far, Tyrone especially without the minimum of fuss, so we should be high on confidence without being complacent. In a derby game like this the odds mean nothing even if we are favourites.

Its been a privilege following this group over the last 4 years. Keep us hopeful lads.

Hmmm - it does seem strange and Monaghan do seem to get the 'rub of the green' for some of the Ulster Council & Central Council decisions recently.

They have not had to appear in the preliminary round of the Ulster Senior Championship for the past 11 years while Cavan has appeared 5 times. In the U21 Championship Monaghan has not had a Preliminary round for 5 years - Cavan has appeared twice.

Similarly last weekend in Division 2 of the Senior League the fixture was brought back an hour to 2.00pm. With the change in time and a 100 mile journey to Clones it made it much more difficult for Laois fans.

All Cavan folk will have to travel through Monaghan to get to Armagh while for some of the Monaghan people it will be like a home game. Enniskillen would seem the obvious choice and much fairer - Cavan people would have the same distance as Monaghan people to travel. Omagh seems to be the correct location for the Donegal - Armagh game, pretty much equidistant for both.

But hey ho - we'll take it and if we can show the intensity of the Tyrone and Derry games we should prevail.

To be honest why should it matter where it is it will be 21 a side no matter where it's played if you are good enough why worry. Should we get to Croke Park and its Dublin you are playing well have the Dubs the rub of the Central Council.

All I can say is bring it on and forget the location, good luck to all tonight you have the players the ability and the attitude and moral is sky high so come on 4 in a row beckons. Sean

I appreciate that and fully understand your situation on that argument you are spot on my apologies for not thinking outside the Football LOOP. 99% of the time I can never get to a match as there is more often than not something pulled into my location. I hope you can make it however for it should be a good match.

Sean, I see the other semi-final has been switched to Breffni tonight @8.30. Will you make the Cavan / Monaghan game or will you be on duty?

Should be interesting the Cavan fans heading for Armagh and the Armagh fans heading for Breffni.Hope there is no clash!!

You will not believe this but I am very ill and on heavy treatment and was not fit enough to go to the U21 match. I have been in bed all day. I will have the pitch ready here in Cavan along with the support of Seamus so that there will be no adverse comments from our end of things and that everything will be fine. The lines are still strong enough from last Saturday thank god.
Our pitch is very wet on the stand side and town end let me tell you so a lot of damage will be done but we will be ready.
Lots of stewards that were going to the U21 match are now being asked to come to Breffni as their is a lot of back ground work for matches like these. People don't understand the amount that has to be done and is never acknowledged.
Good luck to our county lads tonight anyway. John
