DJ Carey can’t be accused of not doing his best to develop football in Kilkenny.

The Kilkenny hurling legend took charge of the county’s U14 footballers in the wake of the minor team’s much-publicised 71-point Leinster championship drubbing by Wexford in 2016 and is currently working with both the Kilkenny and Dicksboro minor football teams. Dicksboro will face Danesfort in the Kilkenny MFC ‘A’ semi-final tonight.

The five-time All-Ireland SHC winner was also recently appointed manager of the Kilkenny U20 hurlers for 2019.
