Kilkenny manager Brian Cody has revealed that stress doesn’t come into his way of thinking with regards to the position he holds.

Cody has been manager of Kilkenny for the past 20 years, during which time, they have endured many, many highs, but a few lows along the way.

For some managers those lows would signal a stressful time, but not for the Kilkenny manager who has delivered eleven All-Ireland titles to his county.

This Sunday, he will be hoping to make that 12 as he prepares his team to face old rivals Tipperary in the All-Ireland SHC final.

“I hear a lot about pressure and stress in this whole thing – pressure and stress? If it’s like that and if you feel stressed or under pressure, then you shouldn’t be doing it,” stated Cody at the Kilkenny Press Event this week.

“Seriously, why would you put that on yourself? I just love what I am doing. I could dress it for you and come with all sorts of funny terms as to why I do it, but the simple truth is that I actually love it.”
