Replying To Groundball:  "It seems that both set ups have been badly ran all year. Hurlers putting pressure on young lads. Footballers were not well organised and accepted poor attendance at training too easily.. Apparently they only submitted the list of gear required a week before the game.. Either way hopefully lessons will be learned for next year..You would wonder why hurling management was re-appointed last November"

Replying To james2011:  "good result, awful game. very lucky. A couple of good individual performances from Furlong, Banville and then to a lesser extent Waters and Nolan and Malone were the main reasons we stumbled over the line. Waters got a right bang coming up to half time that seemed to hinder him after that. A win is a win, but it was awful viewing. Seeing Monaghan after then in their semi final, they look streets ahead of us. You never know, a game in the Park and we might get them on an off day. On another small note from a comment above, there was way, way more Wexford fans in Ennis 3 years ago than was in Limerick last week. We still get decent enough crowds for hurling regardless. We get little or no crowds for football, even moreso when they are not going well. The point being about the fickle nature of supporters. That game could have been in Wexford park at 7pm or Sunday at 2 or whenever you like, and there wouldnt have been much more Wexford fans there. It is what it is. Anyone who follows both knows the story at this stage."
The ones that matter, the players, they are fantastic, despite all the apathy and lack of supporters, they've always given everything. Hats off to them, they still fly the flag for the game not supported by the majority of wexford gaa people.

Replying To Dirk:  "Yes 100% in agreement. The boys gave everything and although disappointed I too was very proud of them. They can hold their heads high."
Very entertaining game. A great advertisement for wexford football, even in defeat. Well done to team and management in hugely difficult circumstances. Despite a good few supporters having those concerts, holidays, music lessons, and other family committments, previously eloquently outlined as being unavoidable obstacles to attendance on nights such as tonight, fair play to those that bothered to come.
