Being the only team in the NFL not to have picked up a point in the campaign so far is a tough place to be, according to Sligo manager Paul Taylor.

Relegated to FL4 for next year with two rounds of the league to spare, it has been a frustrating campaign for Taylor in his first year.

Injuries to key players and a number of key decisions not going their way have not helped their cause and Taylor admitted to the Sligo Champion that it hasn’t been easy.

“It’s tough. It’s tough for us all, management, backroom staff, the players, you know especially the players. We are all craving that win and we know it is there,” stated Taylor.

“You know if you get one win you get three or four. I think the National League has proven that for a lot of teams.

“A lot of teams that have won some of their games in injury time have kicked on and won more and got the bounce of the ball and got that bit of luck but unfortunately we are not getting it yet and it’s a very tough place to be.

“Look, we will keep working hard and keep doing the right things, the good things that we are doing we will keep doing and try to improve them and we’ll work on the negatives. We will try to keep everything positive and that is what it is about.”

Sligo conclude their FL3 campaign with an Offaly side still battling against relegation. The Yeats County will have home advantage as the game is in Collooney.
