All Ireland Final 18 - Dublin V Tyrone

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I have a feeling Tyrone will be competitive something muted of the build up to this final. Plenty of confidence in Dublin I'm sure their panel aren't taking Tyrone for granted but I think there could be an upset.

It will be tight up until half time then Dublin with steam roll them with a couple of goals.

I always support the 5 counties of NI plus Donegal but I can never bring myself to support Tyrone, they are just too arrogant, I don't think many of their neighbours would support them.

Replying To mayotyroneman:  "Herbert Asquith the British prime Minister was quoted in 1914 as saying
"We sat this morning for an hour and a half discussing maps and figures and always getting back to that most damnable creation of the perverted ingenuity of man - the county of tyrone". Asquith would have gone down well in the bowels of rte, and do we care one jot...do we heck...to much of the country we are annoying and irritating mostly because we won't lie down and roll over...we don't know our place..and do we care?..not a bit!"
The medieval "Tyrone" that is famous for the rebeliions wasn't County Tyrone of today, it included most of Derry, some of Donegal and parts of Monaghan too, the land of Derry I live on was in Tir Eoghain of medieval times, I went up to that O'Neill crowning site in Cookstown and you could actually see Co.Derry from the hill, we would have been involved in those wars as much as any Omagh person or Strabane person.

Right, I can't believe it's come to this, I've reached a truly a low moment in my life, I'm bringing great shame to the family, I may even be banished from my county for this, but anyway here goes, deep breath....COME ON DUBLIN!!!

Tyrone for the ambush (I hope)No one likes to see a team completely dominate unless it's your team obviously

Tyrone need to bring on Anthony Nolan. He was a game changer in their semi final.

On another day Tyrone would have lost Colm Cavanagh to a black card, a red card for Peter Harte, Dublin had a player fouled about 4 times in a scoreable position and the ref let play go on and Tyrone get a free out, I often wonder and I have no bias in this game, but do the officials try and make a game of it? it looked Like Dublin were going to run away with it, black carding Cavanagh and red carding Harte would have made a complete turkey shoot out of it in all probability.

Congratulations to Dublin, fantastic achievement 4 in a row, Tyrone done well and missed a lot of chances but they done themselves proud too,
who can stop the drive for 5? if I was betting now I think they will win it next year again.

well done tyrone, but bloody hell they can count themselves lucky tyrone don't have the scoring forwards, ridiculous shooting stats from our forward line and as for calamity morgan, 1-3 off 4kick outs no good enough we definitely could do with some different ideas cos when we play we can play but then revert back to type and that answers the rte gaa dilemma over the banquet and poftm

Well done to Dublin what an amazing achievement and what a fantastic group.
Enjoy the celebrations.

Hard luck on Tyrone but they will have learned a lot today and will have a big say in the championship for years to come.

Congratulations to a brilliant Dublin team on a wonderful achievement. While we were wayward at times with our shooting Dublin were,as usual, very clinical when it mattered. Thought we gave a good account of ourselves and we have to be hopeful goin forward. Shot selection and finishing needs most work. Again well done the Dubs and the Dubs fans on here, enjoy your big day.
