Replying To legendzxix:  "I think people have got the message. Dublin has a capital city council and 3 county councils. Dublin in the Railway Cup as the 5th province makes perfect sense in modern Ireland.

Presidential hopefuls are looking for the backing of 4 councils. It's like a game of good old Connect 4! Collect 4 councils, run for President. Collect 4 councils and upgrade from county to province."
You brought this up all ready , Joxer answered you , you disappeared without reply , do you think people forget , you one joke one trick pony , or if I remember it correctly you couldn't get your answer past admin , why don't you do us all a favor go back to Joxers post and put together a response worthy of his post to you that Will get past Ad min

Spot on Wayno

They cant handle it at all those lads from the Kingdom.
This year more than ever, especially with Tyrone also involved in the Final... ;o)

Some of their posts eek of desperation on their part.... laughable for the most part it has to be said..!

What will generally happen is the Tuesday or Wednesday after a semi final win, Dublin will have a meet and greet for fans at Parnell Park that the whole squad will attend providing they aren't in work.

Once that is finished its lock down until the final and no Dublin player will be doing interviews

At that meet and greet the media will turn up and a few players will be taken aside for interviews aswell as Jim Gavin, The media know that this is the last they will get from the Dublin squad/management and with still 2 and a half weeks to go, tend to keep their interviews/articles until the week or so before the game (I assume)

This year, The players interviewed at the meet and greet where Johnny Cooper and Dean Rock

So if you see any articles on HS over the next few days or over the past few days theyre likely to be from Gavin, Dean Rock or Johnny Cooper. Everything outside of the panel from ex players etc is different but of the playing squad and management, other than cooper, rock and gavin I don't think youll hear anything.

"]Have to admit though it does seems more focused this year by our camp.

Very very little being said by players or ex-players. Which is a good thing in fact.

They all know what is at stake and what they can achieve, that which is rarely achieved.

Fingers crossed we don't leave this rare opportunity behind us.

This is the greatest team of all time but i can only see it lasting another couple of years. THis thing about the dubs in croker is bs they would beat anyone anywhere on their day. they are after winning year in year out and your not going to say they are a great team oh lord

I dont think anyone can name a better team??"
Spot on - agree with your longevity estimate also by the way.

Fear and hurt take many forms.

If Dublin win this Sunday Kerry are looseing all Ireland's to Dublin at a rate and ratio of 6:1 this decade.

Dublin have surpassed their greatest teams of their two 4 in rows for unbeaten games, if they win on Sunday Dublin will have gone 28 games unbeaten in the Championship as opposed to the 19 unbeaten of their team of the 70s and 80s.

If Dublin win on a Sunday, they will beat Tyrone on Sunday, something the Kerry team of the 00s could never achieve.

If Dublin win on Sunday they will have one 11 national titles this decade to Kerry's 2.

Simply put, Dublin's continued success undermines and succeeds the best teams Kerry ever produced.

I can understand some of the comments and hurt of some of the Kerry posters. Dublin's success relegated some of their own greatest teams, of course that will leave people feeling insecure.

Living in Dublins slip stream in the history of the game really tickles the tummy of the green and gold eyed monster and you get the limited pot shots. It's funny.

I won't generlise either there are some gentleman Kerry posters on here like Gerry. Sadly one or two let themselves and their county down.

Regardless we will look to our own.

Hopefully we can prove worthy of the success we all hope for.

I think the game on Sunday will be immensely tight, tough affair myself."
Jesus, if this is a taste of what the winter will bring if Dublin are Champions on Sunday god help us all.

'Dublin have surpassed their greatest teams of their two 4 in rows for unbeaten games', wow really??? That wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that there were no qualifiers or Q-finals before 2001!! So this is the kind of stat that will be clung onto to try and prove they are better than the 3 other teams that have already achieved the same feat in football.

As for ' Living in Dublins slip stream in the history of the game' - regardless of what happens on Sunday the old roll of honour shows Kerry are still well ahead of Dublin. Or is that just an inconvenient truth for someone like you??

Success has really brought out the worst in some Dublin posters on here.
Thankfully they are, in my experience, not representative of the Dublin fans you actually encounter at games.

You boys really are cruising for a fall, alas it probably won't happen on Sunday.
But I'm confident the coming decade will see Kerry again dominate regardless of how much money and how many advantages the GAA continue to throw at the capital.
And I promise I won't remind of that when it happens ;D

Enjoy the final.

Anyone expect any surprises in the team selections ?

For Dublin, not sure if JG will see any reason to change players. Although big occasion for young Murchan if selected.

Tyrone need to go for it, man on man, we're not the same 15 that teams were afraid to take on in a football sense. If they do the same old thing they'll be beat, eventually. If they go for flat out, Dublin could become unnerved and we'll see how the new lads handle a pressure situation.

Spot on, good post.

The one thing this Dublin team haven't had this year is not to play against a blanket defense or a team that goes toe to toe with them, would ask Dublin a few questions and a massive rejig the could unsettle and unravel.

Dublin will never compare to what Kerry done in the late 70's early 80's, with the resources they have at their disposal Dublin have an unfair advantage over everyone else and that's just a fact,
watched the repeat of the programme on Micko again last night, what a character, can't see anyone doing a programme on Jim Gavin no matter what Dublin win with this current squad, but for that freak of a goal Offaly got Kerry would have done 8 in a row back then, football has become boring and methodical now, still though if the game is close at least there's some excitement, as much as I'd like Tyrone to win for the sake of football I suppose we are facing the inevitable on Sunday, the blue machine will roll on.

I just want us to be bold and brave, to try something different, to not be afraid to take the goal shots which could prove to be crucial in the outcome, to run at that Dublin defence like their lives depended on it, come Sunday for those lads to have no regrets, Tir Eoghain Abu.

The above may be true. However what may also be true is that our success has definitely brought out the worst in most Kerry supporters on here. Gerry being a notable exception.

You're fooling yourself if you don't believe Kerry had massive financial resources at their disposal back then (for the time) - Kerry food group, USA monies, adidas, bendix, players being rewarded with around the world trips etc. etc.

Listen,
It's absolutely par for the course at this stage.
The begrudgery will continue from the same misery guts and a few new muppets who hide behind false county identities.
Doesn't matter what rubbish they pedal ,they don't matter, they're irrelevant.
I'm looking forward to Sunday and would much prefer to be in the final than sitting around whinging like this lot.
They'll be at it again on Sunday and Monday and it still won't matter.
